Well then... I knew this sort of thing was bound to happen, but am I the only one going "And that's a big 'fuck you'"?
Story's here on MSNBC via Fark: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/46054377/ns/local_news-charlotte_nc/#.TxidJ28S2Wc

That's not right at all. :/
Her poor family.
-
Saw this on huffpost. Talk about irony.
Ironbite-really ironic.
-
I want to know the cause of death...partially because, being the terrible person I am, I'll be fucking disappointed if it wasn't a Killing Spell.
What next? They find someone who tweeted about thanking god for their baby right before miscarrying?
-
It's a tragic story--no one deserves to die that young.
I just hate how stories like this end up being bandied around by the world's Jesus-humpers as some kind of 'proof' that god exists or some shit like that--I'm sure the girl's loved ones are wondering why god is such an asshole that he decided 21 was long enough to live. With how many squajillions of people using Twitter every day, odds alone mean something like this is bound to happen sooner or later. It's not some kind of divine sign--it's just a tragic, sad coincidence that's going to be hijacked by a lot of strangers for their own selfish gain.
-
Oh man... that's terrible. I feel awful for cracking a smile at this; at first I thought it was a hoax.
-
I'm honestly curious about cause of death, too... Sad no matter how you look at it, though. I was kinda hoping this was some kind of a hoax too, but that's hoping for too much in today's world, apparently.
-
Damn, is that ever brutal. :(
-
Sad as it is, I'm glad someone was there with medical training to at least try and bring her back... I'm still kinda stunned about it, personally.
-
Sad coincidence. There is nothing funny in this.
-
No laughing about this, man. At all. Just hope the WBC doesn't go trying to troll her funeral.
-
Was she gay, famous, or a solider?
Ironbite-should be fine.

No, they've picketed a cancer child's funeral before. A child who was only slightly internet famous.

...when a picture says it all....

Ow. That is not cool.
Yet, I can’t help but have a bit of appreciation for the black irony of it.
Still. Not cool.
-
:(
I'm sure we'll all chuckle at this sometime in the future, but right now... quite sad.
-
Wow, really sad. It does make you think of your own mortality and how anything can seem fine at one moment and then bam! You're dead.
-
It was just reported on the local TV news that she died of a heart attack. I would have guessed either that or a brain aneurism.
So sad. 21 is much to young to die, especially from a heart attack.

Bizarre. Was it some sort of undiagnosed heart defect? Because average, reasonably health 21-year-olds don't die of heart attacks without other issues complicating things.

I know I probably shouldn't joke about this but... OMFG DEATHNOTE!!!
As sad as this is I have to say, if by some small chance god actually does exist, he seems to be a fucking asshole. As someone once said, a comedian telling jokes to an audience afraid to laugh.
(Again, not trying to be disrespectful to the deceased or anything.)

According to this article (http://www.shelbystar.com/news/click-61402-patterson-ariane.html), she was diagnosed with lupus at age nine and this was the cause for the heart attack.
-
Lupus? Holy fuck...no fucking wonder she was thanking her god for getting to 21...
-
Wow. It was actually lupus for once.
I'm a terrible person, I know.
OT: Wow. That's actually quite depressing. Condolences to her family, and all that jazz.
-
It's good she was grateful for the time she had. Lupus can be a bear to the body's systems.
It got me to thinking: So many of us take for granted that if we awaken this morning, we're going to live to see the next dawn. At least she didn't take this for granted.
Reminded me of the old saying "Dream as if you'll live forever. Live as if you'll die tomorrow."
-
Deeply ironic, but still wicked sad. Her poor family. :(
-
Hope she made the most of the time she had in life.
-
Gee, this reminds me of an old Depeche Mode song......
-
Wow that is really sad. But I admit, I snerked at the irony.
-
What a tragic twist of irony... :(
