Saw this gem (http://fstdt.net/QuoteComment.aspx?QID=85662) on the mainpage:
Hitler wanted Germany (and possibly the rest of Europe) to be Islamic. The Leftists in Europe are fulfilling his dream. With America continually becoming more and more and more Euro-peon-ized that may happen here.
I went to the FreeRepublic thread to see if there was any kind of justification whatsoever for this claim, and found his second post on the matter:
I was watching a History Channel documentary or one of the other really good documentaries on Hitler and WW2 and they mentioned this in passing.
I have read in the past that one of Hitler’s goals was to build airplanes large enough to cross the Atlantic Ocean and kamikaze them into the skyscrapers of Manhattan because that is where Jews were concentrated. And who ran airliners into the WTC buildings?
I have also just recently heard that his book, “Mein Kampf†was based on Islamic teachings. I’ll have to do some research on that. I do know that the yellow star of David that Jews had to wear did come from Islam when Muzzies did that to Jews a long time ago. I don’t know how much of Islam Hitler studied but obviously he was influenced and inspired by it.
If you read the history of the Muslim Brotherhood and its connections with the Nazis and Hitler
http://archive.frontpagemag.com/readArticle.aspx?ARTID=11146
it doesn’t surprise me how much Hitler was influenced by it, used it, and wanted all of Germany to to adopt it. Considering he was a Leftist who was “down with the kampf/struggle/jihad†and how similar Leftism and Islam are is it any surprise to see how Islam is spreading all over the Middle East, Europe, America and other parts of the world with the help of the Left?
I'd like to say I'm surprised but, somehow, it's inevitable that we'd reach this point.

The simple fact is that while Adolf was a psychotic fuckstick, he was also a Christian. A Lutheran, to be specific. And while his religious beliefs began to drift wildly from anything remotely resembling "Christian" as they became more and more buried under his fetishistic obsession with the occult, that doesn't change the fact that his background and upbringing were solidly in line with mainstream Christian society at the time.
-
I saw that too... I just don't get it. Nobody's accusing Christians of being terrible people just because you can make a tangental relationship between them and Hit-
oh, wait. Now I get it. After all the political BS where everyone who wasn't a Christian Conservative was compared to a nazi, someone told them that Hitler was a Lutheran, and they decided they needed to do preemtive damage control. Kind of like how Fox News put a (D) after the name of a Republican senator they didn't like anymore.

Hitler was a Christian, his SS officers were Pagans. Sorry 'Mystics'.
-
Hitler was just a really bad Christian-turned-pagan occultist.
But inb4 "Hitler was a Wiccan"
-
This quote was so ridiculous that I put a link to it in my sig (to the FSTDT page, not the FR page).
-
Weirdest opinion ever idea. Did this guy fail history? Islam wasn't even viable in Germany at the time. The guy you quoted Good Prof is dumb.
-
Whiskey Tango Foxtrot? Seriously, is this person for real?

No. It is common to think that Hitler took part in Himmler's SS's Pagan Nazi mysticism/occultism but none of the sources I've read says that he even knew about it.
In fact, just by googling about it the only thing I've seen is how he had the same charisma as an occult leader but not that he was actually one. Oh, and something about the Catholics thinking Hitler was demonically possessed. Oh, and something about turning Hitler into a God of some kind...
Point is, Hitler was a Christian. The SS were not Christians. At least, not the higher-ups and Himmler. Why? Because Himmler was not a Christian and did not agree with most Christians. In fact, he didn't agree with Hitler on religious grounds.
/things nobody really cares about

The only Nazi I know for a fact to have been a Pagan was Rudolph Hess. Even other officers who attended Thule Society meetings were still Roman Catholics.
-
The only real Islamic/Nazi connection was between Hitler and Haj Amin al-Husseini, the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem (well he was the former Grand Mufti long before WWII started). Edwin Black wrote an excellent book on the matter. And a yellow badge being used to mark the Jews reportedly did originate in Baghdad in the 9th Century, and the Church began enforcing this same practice following the Fourth Lateran Council. But that's basically it.

Hitler wanted germany to be Islamic
¿lolqué?
Man, I had to take some time off from FSTDT because of school, and I miss all the good stuff.

This is just... I... god damn it. Excuse me while I have a mental BSOD for a while.

I guess this is what happens when you stay in the conservative echo chamber for too long. When you compare everything bad to Hitler, then Hitler just becomes a generic bad guy (I think someone said "generic bad guy" in the FSTDT comments before I did).
