According to Rowan Williams (the Archbishop of Canterbury), if gay marriage is legalized the Church of England might have to disestablish and separate itself from the government. (http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2012/jun/12/gay-marriage-anglican-church-warning) So as well as gay marriage, it looks like England might get separation of church and state, too!
That was nice of him.

Awww, we were just talking about you today, ABC...
Funny, that.
Either way, eh. The Episcopal Church essentially gave him the holy finger when they continued to ordain gay priests, so I'm fine with this. The Anglican Church has become a bit too much like the big entity it broke off from.

That'll show 'em!

So the Church that was established to redefine marriage is threating to leave the government that created it because of gay marriage.
Ironbite-I'll be over here laughing my tail off.

Good for them.

Hey if it means we don't have an official church anymore I'm all for it.

Alas for Robin, he doesn't actually have the authority to do this :D It's the parliament that decides that.

This sounds like a buy one get one free sale of some kind.

Is it bad if, for a second, I thought that the subject said "Rowan Atkinson"?
Not any worse than when I thought it said "Robin Williams."

Oh good, it wasn't just me, then.

He's also threatening to pet kittens and give alms to the poor.

He's just grandstanding. Not like we will get gay marriage anyway, it's going to end up just another broken promise by Cameron and his cronies.
Why yes, I am very cynical about our government.

The Archbishop has a cunning plan. (yeah, I know that was Tony Robinson's character's line, just grin and bear it.)
