I'm kind of indifferent to the show itself, but there are times when all of the macros and memes get a bit annoying.

Speaking as a 'staffer' of the largest MLP fansite out there... yeah, they do get a little wearying, even for us.  Sometimes we need to wrangle the fandom back a bit.
