Left behind in the beakers under her bed were an efficient bunch of high yield algae, which she discovered produced a significant increase in lipid production.
.... *facepalm* I feel like an idiot now.
That said, is this kid really the first person to think of that? If the problem was that only some algae gives high yields of fuel, then artificial selection should've been the first thing to be tried.
I'd be more sympathetic if people here didn't act like they knew what they were saying when they were saying something very much wrong.
