Um... isn't it generally accepted in the medical community that AIDS originated from people in Africa eating infected monkey brains and THAT'S how it transferred to humans? Or am I completely off the mark here? I sure as FUCK don't remember hearing anything about someone screwing a monkey and getting it that way...
It's assumed that it was contracted from monkeys like that at some point, though nobody really knows. Nobody knows for certain who was Patient Zero, either for humans generally or Americans specifically- regardless of what this bullshit artist claims.
It remains true that virtually all AIDS sufferers are African, and that most of them are women. They're also disproportionately rape victims, particularly of war. Of course, the religious right refused to lift a finger about the spread of this horrifying virus for ten years after it was codified (in 1981). In fact, the religious right continues- to this day- to encourage the worst victims to contract the disease by not using condoms.
In the United States, the worst victims of AIDS are the same people who are the victims of every other bad thing that ever happens in the US- African Americans. African Americans are five times more likely to get AIDS than they should be. Gays are no longer the worst victims of AIDS, despite deliberately misinformed propaganda from a group of authoritarians dedicated not only to inaction on the spread of this horrifying disease, but dedicated also
using it for an ideological point.
