Two-Sentence Horror Stories
« on: August 20, 2013, 10:43:20 pm »
So there's apparently a trend recently of posting a story in two sentences or less. Reddit, in particular, has its thread of two-sentence horror stories. So I thought it might be fun to see what the twisted minds of FQA could come up with. I'll start.
---

When I was a kid, there was SOMETHING invisible in my room that would lift my dresser drawer and drop it, "clink!", if I stayed up too late. I'd forgotten all about it until my front door's knocker began knocking itself on clear, windless nights.

(The first sentence is actually true, though it was only in one particular house. I still have that dresser, and it had never happened before or since)

---

You know that sensation like a cold, icy finger on the back of your neck that lets you know you're being watched?

You should.

If you look at it logically, cannibalism has great potential to simultaneously solve our overpopulation and food shortage problems.

My girlfriend walked into the living room quietly. When I turned from my book to look at her, she said, "I'm pregnant."

There are a number of ways, though my favourite is simply to take them by surprise. They're just walking down the street, minding their own business when suddenly, WHACK! Penis to the face.

I walked into my son's room, holding his hand. There he was on the bed.

I woke up and spat blood. It floated.

Waking, I realized I was in a coffin, underground, and began to scream. A hand reached over my mouth to silence me.

I sat on my chair, typing away. Suddenly, I felt two hands, one on each ankle.

I woke up and tossed my red sheats off me. As I became less groggy, I realized they were white when I went to bed.

When I awakened, I found I had been holding my daughter's hand. I don't know where the rest of her is.

Turning, I cuddled up to my wife before remembering that she died in childbirth.

I looked out the window and watched the forest. One of the trees ran.

I awoke, my eyes still swollen shut from the accident a few days ago, feeling my girlfriend's breath on my face while she held me. The toilet then flushed.

I awoke, my dog licking my face. Too bad I don't have a dog.
What I used to think was me is just a fading memory. I looked him right in the eye and said "Goodbye".

These all sound like really bad jokes to me. I can't take them seriously at all. I think you need more than 2 sentences to make a horror story.

I saw some good ones on Reddit, but these...no offense, but telling a scary story at all is kind of a rare talent.

Girlfriend wasn't in bed with him.  She was the one that flushed the toilet.

If a pregnant girlfriend isn't terrifying, I don't know what is.

Terrifying to experience, not so much to read about.

I thought they were on the toilet. Like, he fell asleep taking a shit, & his girlfriend is really weird. Or maybe someone broke into his house & shat in his bathroom. I don't even know.

I meant it to be taken as the gf wasn't in bed.

Guess how many times I've taken your car for a joyride and you never noticed? Here's a hint; it's more than fifteen.

Perry/Bachmann win the 2016 Presidential Election!

(I don't think I need two sentences for that.  One is horrifying enough!)
Whenever I hear a politician speaking strongly for or against abortion, all I hear is, "I have no idea how to fix the economy!"
