Just think of them as "[insert sport league] [insert year]" games and it's all good.

...Which reminds me, the last NHL game I played was NHL ninety something, I wonder how good those games are by now?

Holy shit.  One of the guest characters for the new SoulCalibur?  Motherfucking Geralt.  To Bandai Namco:

The entire Ultima series is on sale on GOG, totaling around $6 US.  I got them all.  ALL.  I have purchased and installed Ascension.

DEAR GOD, WHAT HAVE I DONE?

I wanna turn it into a drinking game.  I don't think it'd be as fun when sober.

I just noticed that INFRA is a thing and am very annoyed that I'm only learning about it now. It seems right up my alley.

I am kinda disappointed that Far Cry 5 also has the heroes torture the enemies but I have to admit that in the current USA that would happen during a civil war no matter what the sides are. So my only real complaint is that it shouldn't be as effective as it is in the game.

Not that I've played or intend to play Far Cry 5, but I actually like that. It's always refreshing when fiction acknowledges that war makes even the good guys feel the need to do terrible things (sometimes it's even genuinely necessary) instead of whitewashing everything.

a) I haven't seen the end yet so there's still a chance that the game admits that torturing your enemies is a fucked up thing to do and that there are some repercussions but I'm afraid that once again the message is "torture is OK when we are doing it."

b) Another annoyance is SPOILER

Got Nox on sale over at GOG around the same time I got the game that shall not be named.  I'd almost forgotten how much damned fun the campaign is.  Unlike Diablo, which felt like you spent 75% of your time in town talking to people and hocking loot, you actually spend most of Nox going out and fucking killing things and actually achieving something.  You're pretty much always pushing forward.  Granted, that can make things a little on the short side, but you sure as shit don't get bored halfway thru and fuck off like I did with...well, every Diablo.  Oh, and it looks better than the first two Diablo, hands down.

On a whim, I decided to give Daikatana a go. Honestly, it's pretty great. I have no idea what the fuck everyone else is complaining about. In fact, I actually enjoy it a great deal more than Deus Ex, which I'm sure admitting out loud is a lynchable offence or something.

Well, less than successful April Fool's bait aside, I've discovered that Obduction is really great. Nice to see that it's at least possible to do the whole washed up developer tries to recapture their glory days thing that's so popular nowadays and not have it turn out to be a steaming pile of shit.
