That may be the single gayest thing I have ever read on this board. Or the old one. ;)

I'd be more sympathetic if people here didn't act like they knew what they were saying when they were saying something very much wrong.

Sadly, the author is a Glibertarian or it could have been quite funny.

The party's name is the Democratic Party. It has been since 1830. Please spell correctly.

I've never heard the term "Glibertarian". Can you explain what it means? Or did you just misspell Libertarian.

Of all the ones in the post, socialist sounds the most sane. However the problem is that any "pure" system doesn't work anywhere but on paper. The best I've seen so far is a capitalist/socialist hybrid, which is what most first world countries are currently, despite most claiming they aren't.
History is full of maniacs, my friend, men and women of intelect, highly perceptive individuals, who's brilliant minds know neither restraint nor taboo. Such notions are the devils we must slay for the edification of pony-kind. Even if said edification means violating the rules of decency, society, and rightousness itself.

The term I've seen lately is 'Centrist'.

I think Canada could do with a larger population and slightly more socialist leaning - like in the 80s - but it's doing pretty well.

Actually, combining Socialism and Capitalism's ideas makes sense (once you remove Capitalism's snobbiness)

Everyone working and chipping in to get something that's mutually beneficial.

...

Funny how that actually more or less mirrors my views on how America stands to benefit most...

He spelled it right, it's a slur.
Also as you said pure systems only work out in theory. Don't get me wrong libertarianism can be nice in minimum doses, and the fact that libertarianism here in the US, has been tainted with the crap that Ayn Rand has vomited up, would result in an whole lot of ugly, if a "pure system" was to ever come about.

First one's amusing.  Second one is kinda...

Mmm... what's a good phrase...

...Blowing the issue up to severe proportions?

(Of course, it could be well-deserved)

Well that just means that bringing guns to a protests is the proper way to get your voice heard since the police won't dare to do anything. And even if the police would try to disarm them then the Teapartiers would be justified in using deadly force since the police would obviously be the arm of a tyrannical goverment that is trying to trample on the freedom of speech - one of the most important rights that US citizens have, second only to the right to bear arms.

On the other hand if the commies/darkies bring guns to a protest then they should be shot on sight. Stinking commies trying to cause rumpus...
