The Old Testament says to execute gays. It has nothing to say about them marrying.

So? It is still against the OT laws to be homosexual, I don't think people are too fussed about marriage when they shouldn't exist in the first place.

The OT was mistranslated...

What do you mean?

The Old Testament Laws were considered paid for by Jesus' sacrifice.  "You have heard ____, but I say ____"
It's a different ballgame once Jesus comes onto the field.

Since when?

Since my entire Catholic education. In order to explain going from "crushing our enemies with faith" to "turning the other cheek," I was informed by my religious class instructors that Jesus was the "new Gospel" was what was important to follow, with the Ten Commandments and the faith of the prophets being what we could focus on.

Mind you, in sixth grade they started teaching me "non-literal" interpretation of the Bible, so take from that what you will.

Yeah, the Catholic education was good on the whole “Jesus replaced the law” thing, but the Catholic education ignores the bit where Jesus said, “I did not come to replace the law,” bit. Of course that does stand in opposition to all the places Jesus said to do things different from the law, thereby replacing it. So once again, it is just an example of the Bible being schizophrenic and otherwise able to be interpreted in just about whatever way is most convenient.

Not exactly the best cartoon, though, considering that the next-to-last paragraph is cut off.
"Half the reason that I like foreign music is because I can kid myself that "Shake dat ass" is more poetic in Hindi."

No matter what happens, no matter what my last words may end up being, I want everyone to claim that they were:
"If you strike me down, I shall become more powerful than you could possibly imagine."
Aww, you guys rock. :)  I feel the love... and the pitchforks and torches.  Tingly!
