I joined a gym. Time to do something healthy for myself. I'll swim and lift and set a good example for my kids. Plus if in to strike fear in the hearts of future boyfriends, I need to look like I can back it up if I have to.

Crap! That's right. It doesn't count unless you post gym selfies.

Can I suggest stacking the bar on the benchpress with all the weights you can find for the selfie titled 'dropped weight to  finish my set'

Yeah - post one pic every two exercises you do.

By the by, do eight sets of eight reps each at a good weight. I like to do eight sets of eight reps at 135 pounds on bench press.

Do ten exercises total.

My daily workouts go this way; Chest and Arms one day, then shoulders and back the next day, and then legs the next day, then going immediately back to chest and arms the day after legs. BTW, you're going to want a protein powder and a pre-workout.

The road to fitness is a tough one, bro, but you'll get there.

I have found both a vodka and a whiskey that I actually enjoy.  Gentlemen, a new day has dawned!

For team vodka, we've got Effen Blood Orange.  Distilled some 100 times, the base vodka itself is extremely smooth; absent is the typical vodka problem of intense burning of one's throat and the death of a massive amount of one's taste buds.  Oh no, this vodka is almost hatefully pleasant.  But, what really sends this drink into the stratosphere is the blood orange; it adds to this intensely enjoyable drink notes of citrus and general fruitiness that moves it over from the peg of "enjoy drinking" to "actively want to drink."  At $30 US for a 750ml bottle, Effen Blood Orange is as affordable as it is delicious.  Overall, I'm giving it a 10/10 with the caveat that something this genuinely pleasant might turn one into an alcoholic.

For team whiskey, we've got Gentleman Jack.  A fan of Jack Daniel's Old No.7, I was ready to like this right out of the gate.  Gentleman Jack did not disappoint.  I don't know if its due to it being, as the sampler claims, "double-mellowed," but this whiskey is unbelievably smooth.  It does have a notable smokey flavour that some may find repellent, but overall, the flavour is something I find distinctly palatable.  For me, finding a drinkable whiskey is very difficult; most of the others that I've tried have such an overpowering, abhorrent flavour that I simply can't drink it.  Combine that with the burn of spirits, and you've got a mixture for a class of libation for which there is very little that I find drinkable, let alone actually enjoyable.  Gentleman Jack is one of those that broke the mold.  Its more expensive than normal Jack, but for something this smooth and this easy on the tongue, it is easily worth it if you're looking for a whiskey that isn't hateful.  Overall, I'm giving Gentleman Jack a 9/10; it is, without a doubt, the single most enjoyable whiskey I've ever had and the extra cost is more than made up for by the fact that it is supremely drinkable amongst its kind.

I prefer American Honey as my whiskey of choice.

Most whiskey, for me, is just way too harsh; the flavour is so overpowering, and oftentimes noxious, that it makes the drink unpalatable.  I would try that, but I've yet to find a sampler and I have a rule against buying a bottle of booze for myself if I haven't personally had some beforehand.  I'd rather not risk the money and waste a bottle of liquor that could've gone to someone that'd have appreciated it.

Didn't happen today but I recently discovered a heron's nest.  Most of you are probably thinking "so?" but to me that's like finding a suitcase full of gold and porn.  Unfortunately it's far too far away from a publicly accessible area to get any decent photos, unless I suddenly stumble across £12,000 and buy an 800mm lens with it or something, but it's still fun to watch the herons coming and going and adding to the nest and to just observe their behavior and interactions (it looks like the male brings the female twigs as gifts which I didn't know was a thing they did, unless I'm reading too much into it and projecting human behaviors onto them) coz I'm boring like that.  And hopefully if I visit it often enough one of the herons will fly close by and I can get a shot of it in flight, which would be nice.

I am watching the Kitten Academy stream on YouTube.  There's something magical about watching tiny kittens sleep.

We bought ice cream from the local creamery, and it's heavenly.
Guys, this is getting creepy. Can we talk about cannibalism instead?

I completely relate--I discovered The Critter Room right around New Years, and have been checking in on it every day since.   ::)

I finished my assignment I should've had finished yesterday (couldn't because of something I ate being a cunt and massively fucking my stomach over) that was due today and it wasn't nearly difficult as I thought it'd be.  Of course, I did, like, 80% of the work before Spring Break, but I still got the bitch done and did extra extra credit because the main meat of the code was that easy.  Thankfully, my experienced ass knows how to handle stacks like a pro.  Doesn't hurt that I've rolled stacks, queues, and pretty much all the data structures the professor said we'd use about 3 weeks into class.
