Man creates "growing shoes" for poor kids

This is really cool, even if the quality of the shoes declines after a while.  I have a friend who used to work in a shoe store, and he says when a pair had something wrong with them like loose stitching or whatever, if a customer complained they had to damage them out (record it and throw them away), which we both always thought was horribly wasteful.  There's no reason not to donate perfectly good shoes.

Yeah, IF the shoes are sturdy enough to last that long, then these will be amazing for poor families (in warm climates.)
No matter what happens, no matter what my last words may end up being, I want everyone to claim that they were:
"If you strike me down, I shall become more powerful than you could possibly imagine."
Aww, you guys rock. :)  I feel the love... and the pitchforks and torches.  Tingly!
