Backlash forces police to stop using Punisher logo on their cars

This happened in USA because of course it did. I can imagine the conversation that took place before they decided to paint gigantic skulls on their cars:

"Now that there has been criticism that the police use too much force. what kind of symbol would make the people like us again and correctly describe us?" "...How about the comic-book psychotic vigilante who kills criminals, shows no mercy and has in history been shown killing people for jaywalking and other petty crimes?" "BRILLIANT!"

Or as the police actually claimed:

And of course, half the reason the Punisher does what he does is because he thinks the police are useless. There's just layers upon layers of irony in this.

In fact he's gone after police himself for getting away with murder themselves.

I don't think they know that.
