Clifford Russell: "Kill off the poor"

Quote
"What's killing us is all these entitlements, we've got to get rid of all of them. All this welfare, food stamps, Medicare, and then big government health care on top of it, it's all just too much! When do we say enough is enough?”

What do you mean, exactly, I ask him. You say people are suffering under Obama, don't they need some help?

“No. No more help, enough is enough. People have to pick themselves up, take some responsibility. Why should we be paying for people’s mistakes and bad choices? All these illegitimate families just adding to the population, making all these bad decisions, then asking us to pay for it? It's time to cut them off."

I ask for some clarification: what do you mean, just starve them out? What if people can't find work? Let them starve?

"Look, there's always something you can do. You telling me people can't make a choice for a better life? We have to help all of them? No. I'll tell you what really need to do with these illegitimate families on welfare—give all the kids up for adoption and execute the parents."

By the way, folks, to put this into perspective, there are currently 2,680,000 Jewish people in the United States--less than 1% of the population.*  40% of American workers live paycheck-to-paycheck, and 46 million Americans are on food stamps.

To put this further into perspective, for those who still aren't getting what I'm driving at here, Hitler killed 12 million people (including both the Holocaust and the POWs who were deliberately starved to death).  Stalin killed at least 6 million people.  Pol Pot killed 1.7 million people.  Mao Zedong killed at least 49 million people (possibly a lot more than that).  Clifford Russell wants to kill off 46 million people and take away their children.

That's right folks, Clifford Russell has entered Hitler/Stalin territory.

And that's just the tip of the iceberg.  Cliff also believes that:

- Poverty automatically means that you are either stupid, lazy, or both.

- It's easy to escape from a dictatorship that is surrounded by other dictatorships (Iraq, under Hussein).

- The NAACP is as racist against white people as the KKK is racist against black people.

- Invasions don't count as invasions if they help the US out.

- Global warming is a scam made up so that people can profit off of carbon credits.  (Will someone please explain to me how this would even fucking work?)

- Somehow, "common sense" will be more effective than government regulations at getting corporations to keep pollutants out of our air, water, and food.  (Just ask those nice people from Love Canal.)

* Based on religious beliefs of adults, so this doesn't count secular Jews or children.

First I tought that this was exaggeration or quote mining or something...

But the interviewer actually asked about it twice just to make sure and he kept defending his statement... WTF!

Quote
“We don’t invade anybody,” he insists.

What about Iraq? Afghanistan?

“It’s not an invasion if we are protecting our interests.”

So it’s okay to destroy other countries and kill their people for oil? Bomb them and kill their people because “we” want more oil, and to kill some alleged terrorists among them?
No.

Invading another country is an invasion. It might be "justified," "morally right" or not but it still is an invasion. And "protecting our interests" might be a reason for the invasion but you can't weasel out and claim that sending a military force to destroy the armies and the goverment of a sovereign nation is not an invasion.

Fuck Newspeak! War is peace and all that.

Ladles and jellyspoons, I give you today's GOP.

EDIT:  Also, don't miss where they print Russell's rebuttal at the bottom of the page:

Quote
I did not say that I wanted to execute parents on welfare and give their kids up for adoption.

I said that it would be better to execute the parents of an illegitimate child and put their child up for adoption.

Does it bother you that Progressives have to intentionally lie to make their positions look good? Could that intentional lie be a bases for a deformation of character law suit?

Followed by:

Quote
Now that it has been confirmed illegitimate children are a problem, the next question is what is the solution. I believe executing the parents is a better solution than the Democratic solution of abortion and handing out condoms (birth control). Abortion represents the killing of the only innocent person associated with the adultery or fornication that has occurred.

And:

Quote
I believe in personal responsibility thus I believe the policy of America should be to execute the parents of illegitimate children and put the children up for adoption. I advocate America make it a capital federal crime under Civil Law for people to fail to provide for their children. I believe all Socialistic Programs should be phased out to stop people from using these program to justify their abandoning their responsibility to their children.

In the mind of Clifford Russell, directly and accurately quoting someone's exact words without resorting to quote-mining and funny editing is actually lying. LAWL.  Go for it, Mister Russell.  Sue.  Please.  The comedy will be epic.

OH wait I guess he was misquoted:

Two rules of discussion; 1) no solution is perfect, 2) the stated solution is the best solution until there is not a better solution that has be stated.

Nice backpedaling. So it's just the illegal immigrants he wants to kill. And only unless someone has a better solution.

Actually, no. It is even weirder.

Quote
Some might say illegitimate children (children where one of both parents fail to provide for the child) is not even a problem, but an illegitimate child usually represents instant poverty and much misery.

Then he explains that this is a better solution than abortions or condoms and other forms of birth control. This keeps getting crazier. In fact I'm gonna stop reading the article before I get an urge to smash my head against a wall.

He said illegitimate, not illegal. It means kids of unmarried parents.

So lets see... Woman gets raped and gets pregnant. Since the GOP is against exceptions for rape, she is forced to give birth. Then, because she wasn't married to the father, she is to be executed?

Nope. Remember, legitimate rape and all that?

I say let them try it out for a few years. After the first few waves of violent revolution we'll be down a significant chunk of population, have valid excuses to rebuild our infrastructure and have reminded a new generation what civil war looks like. I'll be organizing safaris through rich neighborhoods, points will be assessed based on the gross assets or total value of trust fund whichever is higher. Politicians get a 5 times multiplier.

But they won't, they just like to claim entitlements are killing the country while they're gleefully stabbing the shit out of it.
