A toddler died during what is believed to be a 20-hour exorcism ritual. Police stormed a double-storey house in Taman Bukit Minyak on Sunday night and found a group of eight people lying on top of the two-year-old girl.
The girl was lying face down under the human pile made up of her parents, grandmother, uncle, aunt, two cousins and their Indonesian maid.
Central Seberang Prai OCPD Asst Comm Azman Abd Lah said the family members, aged between 16 and 67, were lying on top of each other with the toddler at the bottom in the master bedroom. The lights in the room were switched off.
“The child died due to breathing difficulties,” he said. Her body has been sent to the Seberang Jaya Hospital for a post-mortem.

While this is an extreme example of religious fervor gone bad, it is still a conscious act by adults that resulted in the death of a child. Nothing bothers me more than abuse or neglect of someone unable to fend for themselves, especially children.
So a 2 year old acts like a 2 year old. Just gotta be demons. :o

I realize that one of the signs of 'possession' is supposed to be superhuman strength, but if it takes 8 adults to restrain a toddler, each and every adult in question needs to be euthanized.

A similar thing is done as a form of "therapy" to kids in the US. It's mostly adopted kids with Reactive Attachment Disorder. It's know either as Martha Welch Attachment Therapy or as Rebirthing Therapy. Here's some videos that really communicate what this "therapy" is.

Yeah, no, sorry...if someone tried laying on me against my consent in order to "cure" me of being "difficult" (aka living with shitty family in a shitty home and reacting to it), they'd soon find themselves gushing blood from a bite injury to the neck or face. I don't do that super-close-for-extended-periods thing. Nuh-uh, no way, keep your shitty abusive "therapy" to yourself kthnx.
Especially the grown-adult-lays-on-a-kid thing. What the ever-living fuck.
