Anything involving Dreamweaver should be considered a nightmare, but that's just me.

This was maybe a week ago now, but the most recent dream I remember involved a friend of mine who was a bear and lived in a tree house. She was having problems with a stalker following her and trying to sneak into her house and I told her "You're a bear, why not maul him?" So she did, and afterward we hung out in her tree house.

Didn't go to bed 'til 5 this morning, tossed and turned until 12, hit the alarm button...and sank into an insane dream, most of which I can't remember. Let's just say that when Dolly Parton started singing disco, I jumped out of bed and nearly broke my neck trying to get my C-PAP mask off.

Had a dream where I was, like, in some kind of video game RPG I had never played before. So me and the party stopped at a local inn where it turns out they eat people.

I had a dream last night that I was running through the streets of my home town with a penis in my hand. It was rather large, not attached to anyone, and I gripped it as if it were my only earthly possession. A bunch of morbidly obese Swedish people broke into a musical performance about how I was a fat American whose only goal was to reproduce and make more fat Americans. Ashamed of myself, I put the penis in my purse and tried to escape the frightening scene.

The other night, I dreamt that I was in a public place when I dropped my wallet.  I managed to pick it up, but my credit and debit cards were missing.  I started asking aloud what happened.  One guy tried to act subtly, but then he handed me my cards, said, "No hard feelings," and took off.

However, as he ran off, he accidently dropped a piece of paper with his info on it (I think it was a receipt or something.  I also got his tag # as he drove off.  Pulling out my Smartphone (which I do not own IRL) and contacting some friends of mine, I managed to get the guy's personal info.  I then opened and maxed out several credit cards in his name, cancelled his cell phone service (resulting in a $500 charge), got his electricity shut off, and signed him up for on a gay dating site.

No hard feelings indeed.

I've been having really fucked up dreams lately. Last night it was about some random girl who'd regularly get raped by her parents, and I was powerless to help her. That said, there was also something else in there about my mum buying me a car so I guess it wasn't all bad.

I dreamt about a fuckload last night in one very long vivid dream and maybe I'll list it all later but I don't feel like it right now. All I have to say is I remember seeing a cute friend of mine walk out of the shower dripping wet in nothing but a towel in my dream and now I'm kinda glowing about that >.>

I just woke up from this weird, super realistic dream. It was also a really short dream.

I dreamt that I was in bed, just about to doze off, and my mom knocked on my door and opened it. She leaned into the doorway a bit and asked, "Bag of potatoes?". I said, "What?" all groggy and confused. She kept repeating the question, louder and louder, until she was yelling, and then I woke up.

After I woke up, I was thoroughly confused, because that dream was so real. The sounds, the visuals, everything. Also if I wake up abruptly like that I'm usually in a brief state of wtfness anyway, so that just made it worse.

It's, I dunno, 9 o'clock at night? The end of existence is approaching fast. For some unknown, Lovecraftian reason, we're throwing some kind of party, I suppose. I'm in the middle of talking to friends and downing a few shots (keep in mind, I don't drink IRL) when the ground cracks and breaks underneath my feet, and the ceiling is ripped apart. We all try to run for our lives. I make it outside, look at the ensuing stampede, then gaze upwards to see this massive, dark hole in the sky.

Aaaaaaand I wake up. That's pretty much what I remember out of all of that.

This one's nearly a year old. I still remember it quite well.

I seem to have a recurring theme for the last few weeks. I pull out my wallet to pay for something, and all of my cash is counterfeit. Not GOOD counterfeit, either. We are talking "printed on one side only with a laser printer" counterfeit.

Last night, I had a dream about a Fae woman who enlisted me to fight her enemies and fell in love with me.

She died.  I remember watching the expression fade from her lovely face as the end came, trying to comfort her in her last moments.  It was one of those moments that haunts you for ages after you wake.

Last night's dream was unusually weird. The part I remember best goes more or less that there's an underground organization that keeps ghosts locked inside a room, but due to some idiot leaving the door open the ghosts manage to escape. When we visit the Lord of Ghosts to negotiate, we find out he orchestrated the whole incident with the idiot by using his horoscope-style fortune-telling powers.

While we are debating what to do with the whole situation, some government agents show up and cancel the entire operation (they don't know what it is, just that something fishy is going on). In a fit of rage, the organization's leader chases after one of the government agents, eventually he paralyses her using rock-&-roll-based powers, and kicks her to death. She turns out to be the Queen (Queen of where, I have no idea).

I didn't have a dream today, but I was about to take a nap and was woken up. Still, there's a state in between waking time and sleep where my thoughts start flowing together to make really surreal things. This time, it was a sort of re-imagining of The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde except in Soviet Russia, which somehow faded to a montage of black-and-white fashion magazine covers

C&Ping this from my dream blog, since I think it's sufficiently fucked up enough to warrant cross-posting:

I was in the midst of a jungle, doing my own makeup for a fashion show while also being chased by a talking T. Rex, which culminated with me discovering that the song "The Lion Sleeps Tonight" is secretly a pro-rape anthem. This discovery was made when I learned about hidden verses that encouraged Little Foot from The Land Before Time to rape his mother.

I keep having dreams that make me question reality. For example, a few nights ago I dreamt that one of the mods removed the rules from the "Recent Events" thread after a big controversy. I had to double check to see whether this actually occurred.

Then last night, I dreamt that I had only one dirty towel in the washer, instead of three. This is a major factor in my life, apparently.

Two dreams. One last night, with downer content but emotionally decidedly neutral in nature... the other from a week ago, horrific in nature.

1. I want to go to an Olympic swim competition. I don't have the money I need to get there. Somehow, I manage to make most of what I need materialize. I have to drive to Canada. The drive is long. I get hundreds of miles from home when I realize I have to get my goggles. I go all the way back to get them. They don't fit anymore. I cry, my dreams ruined, and sulk around my old apartment's game room. Play table soccer in a depressed, slow fashion. Someone brings up the swim thing and I yell at them. I leave the room into a large band practice room and pick up my old trombone, listening to my old director. ~FIN~

2. I'm in my old high school, the shittier one. People are talking about the stories of disappearing young men. Who are these men? I don't know. The implication is they're young. Suddenly, cut to a scene... I'm not there. A young man wakes up in a pink dress and wig, his bed soaked in blood. He screams at the top of his lungs as he realizes what's happened. I don't see it, but I know he's had his genitals mutilated in a amateur sex change. Next scene, I'm in a doctor's office, getting routine physical. I thank the doctors and leave. I'm with my roommate, S. We're on our way back to my childhood home, taking the road between the small town and a larger city. I know it well. We're driving our old minivan. The air in the tires has deflated. A car pulls up near us. It's the doctor. He offers to take us back to his office to call AAA. I guess my cell phone doesn't work or I don't have it on me. I go back, and we sit in a doctor's office. S and I put together that this place is responsible for the disappearances. We gather it's a slave trade, with feminized males in particular. A nurse comes in and asks a question. We confront her. She seems disinterested. She walks casually to a drawer. I step toward her, demanding she answer. She pulls out something from the drawer. Suddenly she pirouettes on one leg and swipes a rag across my face. My vision suddenly distorts and I feel a headache. I stumble about but can't find my legs. She takes a needle and jams it into my neck. ~FIN~

I just woke up from a dream where I was hired to be the cashier at this store in the middle of nowhere. Everything was quiet and dead, like you would expect in the middle of nowhere, but once I stood behind the register the place became packed with people. The line snaked around the store and out the door, and everyone was in a hurry and super pissed. When I went to ring up the first customer the register had turned into this big weird contraption with all kinds of levers and gears. I didn't know how to use it, and people just got angrier.

At that point the dream kind of morphed into me sitting in the audience at some kind of banquet for celebrities. I was sitting in between Dave Grohl and some hot chick who kept switching between flirtatious and mad.

Last night I dreamed that some guy who I knew in high school wanted me to go with him to some river to hunt frogs in a freaking tank. I was rather torn, as I didn't really want to see him, but going frog hunting in a tank seemed like the bee's fucking knee's at the time.

The odd part is that I have nothing against frogs. Hell, I think they're kind of cute. I certainly don't want to go blowing them up with a tank of all things.

I was drinking water out of my favorite glass, and the glass shattered as I drank it, leaving shards throughout my mouth I could not get rid of. They just kept cutting my mouth and tongue and gums over and over.

I can never have good dreams that are memorable...

EDIT: I take it back! Right before THAT bit of pleasantry, I had a dream where my mother beat the shit out of Fire and Flames on Guitar Hero III, Expert mode. ... ... ... why my brain did this, I don't know.

YES! Finally had a memorable, overall-good dream. Starts off with the family (sans dad) in our old minivan taking a roadtrip. In fact, my brain shows me a map of where we're going. Instead of San Francisco, the city has been replaced with Miles City. We're on our way to see Miles, you see! We stop at some relative's place. I never see who they are but I get a strong sense of boredom with it. I go and ride my bike around the unfamiliar (even in my dreams, I've never seen it before) city. At some point, I blow a hole in my back tire. Three cute guys happen to see and help me put a bandaid over the hole (I don't know) which I get the idea will sustain me long enough to get to... my old elementary school! Of course!

I go there, and ride pretty well for a blown tire, down the hallways. I say hello to my old 4th grade teacher, my favorite teacher ever, as she's leaving (she became a substitute after retiring) and down the hallway I remember so well. I round the corner, and I'm on my way toward my 5th grade teacher's room when my 3rd grade teacher, my least favorite ever, started following me down the hall, wondering why the fuck I was riding a bicycle through the school. But she called me "Timmy". Twice. I get the emotional sense of cruelty at this part. So... I turn around and give her a lecture about how I was just going to try to get my bike repaired. I show her the hole and say "screw you lady, if you're going to be such a bitch, I'm going home!" And I start walking off with the bike.

So to sum up, on the way to go visit Miles, I meet three cute guys who, I failed to mention, are actually kinda into me, meet up with my favorite teacher of all time, and tell off that teacher I always hated in grade school. Other than the flat tire, nothing bad happened in it at all. And I remember every detail. ^_^

I don't remember what I dreamed about last night, but I do remember waking up and finding I'd slept on my arm in such a way that it had gone completely numb. I had a dream the other night that I was being chased by a tornado.  I made a sharp left turn; the tornado made a sharp left turn.  I ran around a building; the tornado went around the building.  I finally dove into pit/cellar and the tornado lingered outside as if pouting like a child.

Last night, I dreamt that I was driving when I got cut off by some idiots in a hummer.  I flipped them off, and they sideswiped me.  Then 4 guys jumped out and charged toward me.  I got out of my car, and a few minutes later, the four guys lay bleeding on the ground.  Still not as satisfying a dream as the one a few years ago when I beat up the mime, but it was close enough.

The Redhead Thursday thread must be seeping into my brain, because I had a dream last night that I was curled up on a couch with three beautiful redhead girls. There was also an inmate responsible for some pretty serious crimes sleeping with us, but no one seemed to care. I think there were two other blonde girls, as well. The inmate seemed to be out cold, and we occasionally took turns rubbing his shoulders, as if he'd experienced major trauma. There was an office beside us where two police officers begged for us to stop treating him that way, that he was dangerous and needed to be locked up. We shrugged it off and fell asleep together.

We woke a short time later, only to look out the window and see that the world was basically ending. The sky was frighteningly dark, despite it being daytime, debris littered the streets from what appeared to be a massive storm, and people were running around frantically. The inmate was missing by this point, and we all looked at each other with an "uh-oh" expression. Shit, the world was ending, and it was our fault? Awkward moment...

I had a dream last night that I was at this house. And we had to do some sort of competition, and right before this guy from my high school was crying and it was obvious he didn't want his friends to see, so I walked up to him and he put his head on my shoulder and cried. It was weird because I could actually taste the salt, it was that realistic. And then the dream shifted after a while and we had to arrest some members of this drug cartel, and I figured out how to get them on the plane without them realizing we were arresting them. It was weird.

I had a dream a couple nights ago that there was an egg on my bathroom floor that began to hatch, a perky little chick jumping right out of it. This worried me because there were dozens of other eggs in the next room over that weren't supposed to hatch for another few days. I held the chick to keep him warm, and I suddenly appeared in the back seat of my mom's car. She flew down the road, trying to get us back to the house so I could place the chick under a lamp for warmth. I looked down and he had turned into a flattened Peep marshmallow with a frowny face. This broke my heart. Did I smash him? Throughout the ride, it switched back and forth between a live animal and a marshmallow.

We finally reached my driveway, but mom decided to park at the bottom so we could hoof it to the top. As we worked our way up the hill, the chick transformed into an Australian Shepherd puppy. He was absolutely adorable, and once we reached my house, he was a fully grown dog, his tail not even cropped like they usually are. We got inside and the dog suddenly transformed into a teenage guy who had dropped out of high school to become a drug dealer. This guy scared the living hell out of me. I could hardly stand to look at him. In fact, he frightened me so much that I moved to France. However, this was not enough, and I decided to join the French army so I could be as far away from him as I possibly could.

In the army, I was waiting in line to have all my hair cut off. There was a really sweet-looking young man doing the cutting, and I explained to him how upset I was over losing all my hair. He had me bend over so he could take it off with one swift chop, then said to me, "I think you look cute without it." We both smiled, and I made my way over to the rest of the men who'd already gotten their hair done.

Later on, we were all in a training session to improve our bow and arrow skills. I was at the back of the line waiting for a turn to shoot at the target when I noticed that the guy beside me seemed a bit...off. He had a half-smile that made me uneasy and appeared to be muttering a long string of random phrases that no one could make out. Before anyone could stop him, he grabbed one of his arrows and forced it through his gut, blood gushing from both the wound and his mouth. He fell to the ground and I did as well, light-headed after seeing something so gruesome.

I woke up at home, my head feeling very fuzzy. The drug dealer kid seemed to be gone, and I was clearly on some sort of heavy tranquilizer. It turns out that the French army wanted to give me an honorable discharge after what had happened during training. I was ashamed of myself for letting the suicide I'd witnessed have such an impact on me, but alas, there was nothing I could do about it now. The last thing I remember was being on a merry-go-round, which leads me to believe that I was placed in a special psych ward after all that trauma.

I had a dream where I was bitten by a rattlesnake on my front porch, and spent the rest of the dream running through a hospital feeling my hands and face swell up like I had an allergic reaction. At one point I got the cure, and sat in this doctor's office with a guy from my school talking about what I'd been up to at college.

And then I woke up and it turned out that I'd been lying oddly, which caused my arm and face to go numb.

I had a dream last night that I attended quite the snobby school, something only the wealthiest could afford. The building contained a room with a finely carved wooden table, and thousands of gold coins and other treasures on top of it. Apparently, the ultimate crime here was to steal those coins, so when no one was looking, I pocketed several handfuls of them. Of course, being a genius, when I got back to the table in the students' common room, I dumped all the coins there. No one seemed to suspect anything.

Later on, there was quite the outcry when the teachers discovered there were some coins missing. They somehow knew I was the criminal, despite the fact that they never actually witnessed me stealing the coins. I was taken to several different places for interrogation, and I practiced my lies in the mirror so I looked credible. I really began to wish I hadn't done this, because now I was at risk for being kicked out of the school. I remember the teachers acting like cops, trying to guilt me into telling the truth. I nearly cracked.

I had two very weird ones in the same night.

1. I don't remember most of it, but it ended with a guy waking up inside a metal tube, upside down, which turned out to be a miniature crematorium.  He was then cremated alive (The dream then switched to an outside view of the tube, but his screams were all too clear.

2.  I was on a motorboat with a friend when we spotted some people waving to us from the water.  It turned out their boat sank and they need a lift back to shore.  I dropped into the water to help them when one guy tossed me all three of his babies.  I caught two but dropped the third into the water.  I dove under and saved it, but I dropped another.  As I struggled to keep all three above water (they were alive but coughing from my dropping them), I asked the guy for help.  His reply;  "It's okay.  They taste better when they're dead."

I was so disgusted, I yelled to my friend for help, and we piled into the boat (with the babies).  When ************ asked for my help to pull him into the boat, I replied, "Nah, I'll bet you taste better when you're dead."  We then headed to shore.

Honestly, I fell asleep watching hockey, as I had nearly every night for the past week, and I never dreamed anything as twisted as those before!

An interesting dichotomy: I fell asleep imagining myself in my boyfriend's arms, and my brain decided I was overdue for a nightmare. In fact, it Inceptioned that shit, and I had a nightmare within a nightmare. But... here's the thing... my nightmares are always my most intriguing dreams! They tend to have overarching plots, and this one is certainly no exception. It's such a good story, I'm fascinated instead of frightened... though I am pissed that a) I didn't dream about my bf >:( and b) I woke up with a wicked headache. Okay, here we go:

I was in the hospital with my mother. I don't recall it being for a serious condition, but it was one of those "got sick/hurt on the weekend, and the clinics are all closed" deals. That said, the hospital is rather busy, and I'm stuck in the waiting room for quite some time. In fact, my brain's emotional complex fed me all the boredom I typically feel when in an actual waiting room at this point. A Russian spy (don't ask) took interest in me and started chatting it up with me. He had the stereotypical broken English but was friendly enough, and we had an overall pleasant conversation. I think my brain glossed over what was actually said, because it was unimportant. So, I go back to some room, finally, but here's the thing - they were so busy, a nurse got confused and started treating me for something I didn't have. They managed to catch it just barely in time, because had they not, I could have been administered a lethal dose of some drug, since I didn't need it.

Next scene, we're out in the waiting room screaming bloody murder at the staff, because... I could have been killed by their fuckup! The nurse in question was a total bitch about it too, basically implying that I should have said something before being hooked up to an IV. Finally, I have a seat in the waiting room for... some reason, and I pull out the laptop I used to have a few years ago. It was a POS and it blew up. Anyway, I open Instant Messenger (which I never had IRL but ok) And my Russian Spy friend contacts me. He says that one of the body bags in the hallway to my left has two bodies in it, and one of them isn't exactly dead yet. He essentially implies that the bitchy nurse who almost killed me has been dosed with a paralytic, meaning she's fully aware, but unable to move or speak. Essentially, the spy put me in the exact same position as she was in before; in charge of someone else's life. She's at risk of being carted off for cremation along with the bodies, and I have the option of telling someone about it, or doing nothing and letting things happen. I tell him that I'm sorry, but I just can't let someone else die. So I go to check on the cart... and it's gone. Russian Spy is back in person and he tells me that "he may have fucked up our game", meaning she was carted off before I had the chance to make my choice. So I go screaming to a guard about it, but it's too late. She's been burned.

The guard consoles me and tells me there was nothing I could do at this point, and basically sweet-talks me into looking forward to going home and just moving on from this point. Of course, by this point Russian Spy is nowhere to be seen. So, I go home, and finally go to bed. And fall asleep. Then I have a brief nightmare... in my dream... of the nurse screaming as the fire incinerates her. As I wake up from that nightmare in-dream, I also wake up IRL.

I have to say, I'm actually rather interested here. As horrifying as it is, combining multiple phobias, it's also one of the more intriguing dreams I've had in a long time. Not only because of its plot, but its themes: I love the Saw-esque role-reversal game, the moral choices to be made (and in fact, in Fridge Logic, telling someone that I just randomly know there's a living person in a body bag would make me rather... suspicious, to the point I could get implicated, meaning it might be better to just go home), and of course, any time I have a dream within a dream, something I haven't had since I was... about 10... always worth mentioning.

I just woke up from a dream in which Spoony (from TGWTG) was my neighbor. He was some kind of engineering genius, and he kept coming over to show me all his cool new inventions. One of them was a two-wheeled, motorized hospital bed. The wheels were in the center of the bed, and it was somehow perfectly balanced. The steering wheel was a giant fiberglass cheeseburger.

After he drove the bed over and we marveled at it for a minute, we both suddenly decided that it was time to finally kill GLaDOS (from Portal). So we started digging underneath my driveway, and everything was kind of MineCrafty in the sense that we were digging blocks of sand. We entered some metal room under the driveway where a GLaDOS-like machine was, and we killed it. It wasn't GLaDOS, though. It was a bunch of cores hanging from a wire.

After that things kind of faded into that weird mesh of dream and reality you sometimes get when you start waking up.

Last night was an odd one. Basically, I had work today, which requires a 4:30am start. On work nights, I'm always terribly paranoid about not getting to sleep until around 2 in the morning. As such, I managed to dream that I was mostly lying in bed and not being able to fall asleep. The really fun part was that when I woke up, I didn't realise that I had actually slept and spent a good 5 minutes hoping something would kill me and prevent the impending misery before I realised that no I don't own an original mini that I keep in a shipping container at my Grandma's place, I didn't watch Star Wars in an attempt to fall asleep last night, and no, there is no scene in which Darth Vader rapes a stormtrooper, nor does he ever speak in a stereotypical upper class British accent.

My mind is a strange, strange place.

I had a dream last night that I was back in school. I looked at my schedule and had five classes, one of which I never signed up for during registration. I went to that class, and according to the professor, I was supposed to be a student aid for a particular person who had trouble with the material. Problem is, I didn't know who it was. The professor didn't tell me, the student didn't come forward, so I just left the classroom in the middle of lecture.

I appeared back at my high school. Apparently I wanted to take classes there for fun (what the HELL?). I talked to a woman about doing so, and she grabbed a piece of paper and wrote down a ton of stuff at breakneck speed. When she finished, she showed me a potential schedule that had me taking three high school classes per semester. Somehow, these classes would transfer to the college level and help me complete my degree even faster. Glancing over the classes, I saw MATH 200 written down and thought hell nooo, promptly telling the woman "no thanks" and leaving the school.

There was a scandal in there somewhere, too, but I can't remember it.

Edit: I just remembered what the scandal may've been. There were lots of people in the school who were missing hands. I don't know how they lost them, but it was an odd sight, seeing most people with a tapered wrist and nothing more.

Edit 2: Come to think of it, only males were missing hands. How sketchy.

Last night I dreamed I had a remote-controlled life sized skateboarder. Though I don't remember it, I apparently had it go through a hospital and kill everyone it came across. I later came back to the hospital and found it full of FBI agents (apparently I was in America) who were trying to find out who did it. I tried to make my RC skateboarder go inside, but the guy guarding the door said I couldn't drive it around inside, so I had to switch it off and carry it around. Funnily enough, even though the investigators knew that a life-sized remote-controlled skateboarder had done the deed, nobody batted an eyelid at me walking around the place while carrying my own life-sized remote-controlled skateboarder.

I then left and went to a park across the road, where my skateboarder disappeared and I was instead wearing a suit of armour. As it turns out, there were other people in suits of armour who were riding around the place on horses and jousting with any other knights they came across. I tried to acquire my own horse, but nobody would let me ride one, as they thought I'd end up killing more people. I then learned that all of the "horses" were in fact two guys in a horse costume. There was also something about stale food at some point.

Me and a group of friends were wandering through a near-deserted town in the middle of the night. We'd been walking for bloody ages looking for somewhere to spend the night, when we finally came across an old cathedral that had been converted in to a hotel. We thought about staying there, but it turned out that about half of the building was on fire. We decided that, since the building was mostly made of stone, the fire wouldn't spread very fast. So we found a room and slept there while the rest of the cathedral burned down.

When we woke up, the building was still on fire, but only a few rooms were engulfed by flames. We went to get some food at the nearby shop, and when we returned, the entire building was on fire. I wanted to leave, but my friends who were with me insisted that they liked the hotel/cathedral, and wanted to spend another night there (I can't remember why exactly). The dream ended with me and my friends pacing round the outside of the building, trying to find a door to any room that wasn't on fire, so that they could hang out there.

Well, this one was mildly disturbing. There was a sudden shortage of food in the US, so people were gathering what they could and locking themselves indoors with family members. I went to the fridge and saw tons of lunch meat, which I grabbed and used to make myself a sandwich. My family was sprawled across the house, lying there hungry and lacking showers as if life had no meaning now. I heard about a terrible accident where twin infant girls had somehow been injured. I appeared in a hospital room and watched doctors as they operated on one of the infants. It was not a pleasant sight...they basically used a scalpel to chop off random pieces of the girl, thinking this was life-saving.

I was also at a gym at some point. The treadmills were quite intelligent. They would come over to you if called, so I called one over and began exercising on it. I began at a fairly fast jog and decreased the pace to a walk, embarrassed that I might slip and fall. I felt guilty that my treadmill may be blocking others who were trying to exercise here, so I eventually quit and tried to tell it to go find someone else.

Fucking hell, in my last dream I was on a train journey somewhere, and I looked out the window and smoke was billowing out of one of the carriages further up. Suddenly there was an announcement telling us that one of the carriages was on fire, but that the train would continue on it's journey until the fire got massively out of hand (ie three or more carriages were on fire), advising passengers to just move a bit further down the train if they wanted to avoid the fire.

This is the second dream I've had where common sense indicates: "If you spot a fire, just ignore it until it gets massively out of hand - evacuating the area is just a waste of time and it probably won't spread very quickly anyway so just make the most of the bits that aren't on fire because they won't be there forever" I would be fucking rubbish in an emergency situation.

Magikarp only learns splash and tackle and Gyarados learns bite at level 20 (i.e. when it evolves), dragon rage at level 23 and leer at level 26. As long as it doesn't have any moves from breeding or TMs, it's guaranteed to know splash at any level below 26.

I had a dream last night that I was playing Thief, only I was in the actual game as Garrett's replacement. The setting was rather odd -- a bright outdoor area that seemed to mimic a Spyro level with its cheerful graphics. Still, I could see some shadows up ahead that would aid me in getting through the level. I just had to get past three guards. Two of the guards were females wearing dresses, walking back and forth and occasionally bumping into one another. The third was male, a traditional guard from the game. I wasn't sure how to time this properly, so I grabbed the first female guard and threw her off a ledge (apparently the level was also on platforms in the sky). I heard her scream as she fell, eventually making a dull thud as she hit whatever was down there. I felt terribly guilty for doing such a thing, but I wanted to advance in the level.

The other two guards obviously heard her scream and walked over to the ledge to see how it happened. They couldn't see me because I was well-hidden in a dark patch of shadows, but they were quite alarmed. When they returned to their original posts, I tried to make a run for it and failed, the female guard catching me before I reached more shadows. The game automatically re-loaded, and I was back in the shadows watching the three original guards there. I tried repeatedly to get past them, using every strategy I could think of, but I was always caught by one of the females. At one point I threw the male guard off the ledge, again listening to him scream until that final thud below. The screams were very disturbing, I guess because the thought of the person knowing his death is imminent while he's falling rather terrifies me.

Anyway, I was unable to get past the guards and decided that I wanted to quit the game. Well, the quit option that I chose was definitely not working well, because every enemy in the level began to chase me. I ran throughout the level trying to dodge them, but it just made things worse as the group behind me increased in size. I passed a Wii on the ground and hit the power button, figuring it would end this game immediately. Sadly, the light on it stayed green, as if it would never turn off. I kept running and running, trying to escape these enemies, some of which had impressive weapons, including a catapult. I woke up just when they were closing in on me.

I had a dream in which I worked for Jimi Hendrix. Sounds awesome, right? It was not awesome. In this dream, Jimi was a sadistic, violent, asshole. He had an aura of frightening authority about him.

I don't remember exactly how I came to work for him, but I was a younger boy in this dream. Maybe about thirteen. There were a couple other kids who worked for him too, around the same age. We were basically go-fers for him, servants. Maybe more like slaves. I got the feeling that we were owned, rather than employed.

Any and every little flaw or mistake was met with burtal punishment. The other kids and I were basically like cowering dogs near the end of the dream. I summed up some courage though, after he demanded that the other kids and I kill our cats (we all had pet cats).

We all walked out in front of Jimi's headquarters, cradling our beloved cats. There was a murder booth outside. It was basically a square building with automatic sliding doors, and it was painted psychedelically. None of us wanted to do it. Jimi had secret microphones set up everywhere so he could hear everything. I went up to the other kids and whispered real softly, "I'm going to run away, you guys should come with me". A shocked and terrified look ran across their faces, and one of the kids sprinted away to go tell Jimi that I conspire.

I tried to catch her, but I was too late. Jimi was giving a tour of his headquarters to my aunt, so for a moment I thought I would be safe. The girl told Jimi that I conspire to run away, and right in front of my aunt, he said, "He won't run if he likes being alive". Then he turned away from us and continued giving the tour. I was filled with dread, but luckily I woke up around this time.

The girl was practically a skeleton after giving birth, and she deemed herself unfit to keep the child. She handed the baby to me and I went on this epic quest, jumping across platforms and defeating enemies so I could find a couple to adopt it.

I had a dream I, and a small group were villains robbing some place.  The woman in my group took some discs hostage, telling people the discs contained their valuable info, and if they didn't hand over $, we'd get all the info instead.  The police then showed up, and we booked, though only I and some other guy managed to escape.  I threw some smoke bombs at the cops, then tossed some strange pebble-like objects into the air, which deflected the cops' bullets.

We fled into the woods and hid.  The cops couldn't find us and mentioned burning down the forest, so we continued running.  We leaped across a stream (well across some rocks sticking out) and into another forest with some beautiful waterfalls and trees we could actually camp out inside.  I decided though to continue exploring the forest and went up a hill.  At the top of the hill, outside the forest, I saw a cemetary, which creeped me out.  My friend comforted me, and we started walking down a street until I woke up.

A rather strange one.

I had a dream the other night where one of my friends called me because she'd been assaulted as she left work. I ran through traffic lights (she works a few blocks from my apartment) and up the parking garage where she leaves her car to find her, and distinctly remember arguing with the paramedics about going in the ambulance with them. That's about when I woke up, and I had to force myself not to head to the nearest hospital.

Edit: Yay. Had the same dream again. Why does this have to be the first recurring dream I have?

I had a dream about losing my virginity. Sadly, not about the actual losing of said virginity, although that would have been awesome. Instead, my dream had me waking up in bed with a naked woman resting her head on my chest. It was very sweet. I remember just cuddling with her. This is, incidentally, exactly how I want my first morning after to go.

The weird thing I remember from the dream is that there were several people whom I was interacting with, and I was recognizing them by sight. However, as best as I can remember, only one of them was a real person - my sister. The others were, as best as I can figure out, fictional characters. I remember that at least one guy was an asshole, and another was my sister's boyfriend (she's single in reality), and of course there was the lovely young lady I slept with. My subconscious created a slew of fictional characters, and not one of them was based on a real person. I think.

Oh, and I was called a hero simply for making sure that she got at least as much pleasure as I did.

I had three interesting dreams recently.

1. I was playing my usual Minecraft world, and because I've been trying to reach The End, I've been hunting endermen for their pearls. Well, in this version of the game, you had a kickass map that highlighted every enderman on the map for easy disposal. I killed them quickly and gathered enough pearls within the first couple nights.

2. I was driving to the mall behind a man in a small UPS truck who was going 25 mph down the highway. I began tailgating him out of irritation, and he pulled over after awhile and asked me to knock it off. The man was older, maybe 60, and seemed fishy somehow. I later encountered the same man when I was in the mall with a group of my friends. Instantly, we all somehow knew he was a pedophile (apparently we were all underage, as well). He approached myself and my male friend, muttering, "You want a smooch?" I screamed, "NO!" as loudly as I could, and a woman wearing a rape whistle immediately ran over and arrested the man. My friends and I were thrilled that we'd gotten that scum off the street.

As time wore on in the mall, people began to take sides regarding the man's arrest. I accidentally entered a store containing employees that all took his side, and they cornered me at the back of the store. There were two women (twins) and a man, each weighing 500 pounds, and they did a running leap and threw themselves on me to crush me for having the man arrested. I began suffocating beneath them, but just when I thought death was inevitable, I heard my friends enter the store. They were all carrying rifles, and they shot the employees who were killing me. I stood and thanked my friends, running from the store before there was any more commotion.

Weeks passed, and I noticed that my friends were turning into zombies, likely due to a curse placed on us for our good deed in the beginning. I wasn't a zombie, and they noticed this and began to turn on me. Some of the other mall shoppers were zombies as well, and the dream ended with me frantically running from hordes of zombies.

3. I was a pirate, sailing on a ship with Captain Jack Sparrow. We were headed through a narrow passage in the desert, and there were ships docked everywhere in the sand, something that befuddled me. I looked past it though, and Jack stated that he'd be looking to purchase a new ship soon, as this one was becoming worn. We eventually docked our ship beside a kickass fort we'd apparently built together, and we jumped down into a massive pile of leaves it contained. The rest of the dream was mostly me ogling him.

I had a dream this morning that I somehow managed to talk my way into a Swingers' Party (basically by unintentionally guessing the passphrase); it was upstairs and as I was going up I could see about fifty people all happily going at it with various partners... and then by the time I was at the top of the stairs it had changed and everyone was standing around awkwardly waiting for someone else to make the first move.  So I never got to join in :(

Here's what I remember of my dream:

There was an ancient Roman guy who went crazy and started eating dead bodies.  And he was still alive after 2000 years, and still smokin' hot.  So, essentially a vampire except he didn't look like one (the Bram Stoker variety or the Twilight variety).

I apparently look like his long-dead ancient girlfriend, Portia.

I got his gladius away from him and started hacking at his neck until he went down.  My male friend (who only existed in the dream, don't remember his name) helped me decapitate vampire-guy to make sure he was dead.

Night before last, I dreamed that I was almost raped by a bully.  Needless to say, I did not feel well-rested when I awoke yesterday.

Really creepy dream I had maybe a week ago:

I was in a science lab trying to artificially create a baby from some chemicals or something. I failed and all I got was some brain-like mush. I wasn't too upset about it, figuring I'd try again later and went off to do something else. A short while later the baby I was trying to make appeared as an awful zombie, monster-thing baby and decided to take revenge on me for not creating it right. It started attacking me with this green puss and umbilical cord tentacles.

I recently dreamed that I died and went to heaven. Except heaven was a mildly shabby beach, like the kind that's not awful, per se, just sort of gray and rocky. Like, you'll hang out there, but you won't take a lot of pictures or do sandcastles.

Also, God was a senior from my dorm and Cthulu was in a cage on the shoreline.

My dreams have been having an absurdist period.

I was an Engineer from Mass Effect facing zombies from Left 4 Dead.  I managed to blow up several with my Scorp pistol (I should've used an SMG on zombies, but in ME, the Scorp is my favorite gun).  I then ran up the stairs to see dozens of zombies waiting.  I activated my Combat Drone, and as they stared at it, I ran past them, activating the drone's explosion when I was far enough away.  I then found my friend, and we jumped on our hover-bikes and hightailed it out of there.

It would've been cool to see how other classes would deal with the L4D monsters.  I'd love to take on a Witch as an Infiltrator or a Tank or Charger as a Vanguard.  Or an Adept facing a Hunter, Jockey, or even Smoker ("No ***hole!  YOU get over HERE!")

I had another zombie dream, though nothing about L4D in this one.  Basically, I was being chased by zombies at night when I got to a car dealership.  Up front, I saw a yellow vette with the keys in the ignition, so I jumped in and started to drive away.  Then an older lady ran outside the dealership building, screaming at me, "What are you doing?  Get back here!"

As I pulled onto the freeway, I figured with all the zombies, she should just jump into a car and take off as well.  Then I noticed, in the passenger seat, a box of keys.  Oops.

Okay, this dream was fucking disturbing. First, I was pregnant and giving birth in the hospital, which was surprisingly painless. Then, I was being re-born, and not in a religious way. I was inside a freaking vagina and could feel myself being pushed out into the doctor's hands. And I came out fully grown. We went home after I was born, and I was welcomed home by a few family members. I acted like a real asshole to all of them for no reason, and they commented on how bitchy I was since being born again.

At one point I was on Mars, worried that I would suffocate.

I had a dream that I was in a community center with Stan Lee, except he was an angry, long-haired German. We had just thrown a small party in there, and he ordered us to clean up the numerous baguettes we'd left lying around. Most folks had left the party by then, so it was just myself and a couple other guys neatly organizing the baguettes on the table to Stan's liking. We hung our heads in shame afterward for being so messy, and he glared at us even as we marched out the door.

Had a mad dream this morning about getting into an ontological argument with a demon* - he didn't look anything like the traditional depictions, in fact he was quite camp (spandex bodysuit and cape, both purple, a flimsy tail sewn onto the back of the suit, and plastic horns literally tied onto his head).  I managed to defeat him with a combination of logic and mockery, but before he disappeared he put some curse on me that turned me into Mitt Romney.  Now that's low, even for a demon.

*apparently, merely mentioning the name of any denizen of the underworld is enough to summon them, and it's a long and tiresome process for them.  Also, Lucifer is merely a mid-level demon, but he's waged such an effective propaganda war that us surface-dwellers think he's one of the top dogs.  Of course there's lots more, but I can't remember most of it at the moment :(

I had a weird Star Wars dream where the city I was in got attacked by The Empire.  I ran outside and saw a couple of AT-AT walkers shooting people.  I fired off some shots with my rocket launcher but didn't do much.  They fired back and I ducked behind a building.  Then some Imperial troops attacked me (I don't know why they chose to tackle instead of shooting me), but I fought them off and ran.

Seeing that the walkers were targeting people but not buildings, I ran inside one, found a secret tunnel, and took off running down it, placing mines behind me as I ran.  I emerged on the outskirts of the city and found three of my friends (not RL friends, thank god . . . ANY god!).  We found a ship (the bottom looked like a cube; the top looked like a sphere) got inside, and took off.

As we hovered, my three friends decided now was the brilliant time to argue on what to name our ship.  Seeing a walker nearby, I said, "How about, 'Fireball,' because that's what we're about to be IF YOU DON'T #^%&$#$# MOVE IT!"

One of my friends opened the hatch to get a better look, and as I pulled him back, the walker's gun pointed right at us.  I fired off a shot from my rocket launcher and somehow caught it in a critical area because it stumbled into a building.

We then headed for space with one friend as pilot, one as gunner, one as mechanic, and myself running sensors and communications.  Once we were in space, I told them that sensors picked up an Imperial ship headed our way.  My 'gifted' buddies picked that moment to argue one whether it was an Imperial 'Cruiser' or 'Star Destroyer,' and whether it was Imperial Class or Imperial II Class (I honestly have no clue what the difference is IRL.).  I yelled at them, "Does it matter?  It's got big #%$@%$ guns!  Get us the #^$@@$ out of here!"

Our pilot got us to hyperspace, and I thought we could relax . . . until out mechanic, while tinkering with the main circuit board, blew a glowing fuse, causing us to drop out of hyperspace in an Imperial-run system.  Once again exhibiting wisdom that would make Jar Jar face-palm, my friends picked the planet with Imperial shipyards right outside the city to land.

On the plus side, we got the ship repaired.  I don't remember the details of what happened next except that two of my friends got captured and one got a hole blown through his chest.  I figured, Screw this, and got out of there.

Then my alarm went off.

I had an interesting dream.

There was a horror house.  It was like a haunted house but filled with all sorts of horror creatures.  And it was a competition like a zombie run, were you tried to make make it through without getting "killed."  But with a large cash prize to anyone who could make it through.

Despite being highly selective of who goes through I was able to enter with about 30 other people.  As soon we walked through the gate an abominable snowman picked up two girls and walked off.  We all ran inside the large manor.  A group of muscle guys, jocks, etc broke off and went ahead.  Other small groups splintered off and went there own way.  I was left with 5 or so females and 2 or 3 guys.  We were exploring the manor and I was thinking about how real the Yeti or whatever it was was.  We heard the sounds of people in other groups being picked off.  We lingered in a room for a while and as we left me and one of the girls were attacked by a female vampire.  The girl was thrown into a wall and rest of the group left us and moved on.   When I was shoved down hard I thought of how strong and real the vampire looked and I realized that it was because it was a vampire not an actor.  When she lunged for my I tried to extend my arm to strike her throat but I caught mouth instead and my hand got nicked.  My strike created confusion, I scrambled, took the Vampires back and choked her out.  The girl was getting up and all panicky and she wouldn't calm down.  The all of a sudden I glared at her and she calmed down and did what I told her.

We caught up to those who left us.  I was feeling sick and exhausted.  I tried to convince that the attacks were real and we were being hunted, they saw it as a trap so I'd win the money, I did get them to come back to were we attacked.  The vampire was gone.  My pain was growing into a deep hunger and I felt even weaker and more exhausted, but I noticed the one girl was still mindless doing whatever I said.

It was then I woke up.  Such an interesting dream.  I was just piecing together that I had been turned and was keeping it from the group.  I had planned on helping them but on keeping the girl as a thrall.

Had two dreams last night.

The first one involved me and some chick going to university for some reason, where we came across Obama running the till at an asian store, the girl asks obama about these vacation photos, but obama said he hasn't printed them out yet since there are no printers in the nearest suburbs. So me, mum and my sister drive him to our house, and during the entire way obama kept grabbing my cock. When we pass the police station, I get too uncomfortable and yell out that hes molesting me. So i threaten to stab his balls with a pen until he gets arrested.

The second dream involved me and two other people finding a house (which is actually a pirate ship washed on shore) and going inside. Inside we find a pair of elephants getting drunk and they offer us to join them, we drink for a little bit but then notice corpses are all over the ship, skeletons and propped up in their chairs. We ask the elephants but they dont know why there were there. So we freak out and leave, the doorway of the house then clicks and gets covered with spiky teeth. Then a bunch of undead magic pirates wearing sunglasses ride up to us on horses and suck us into another world using their sunglasses. This world is just a replica of the ship. In the outside world, homer and bart simpson defeat the pirates by sucking them into their own sunglasses, and released us by doing something to the pirates sunglasses.
Homer and Bart then transformed into the charmed ones, and we went back to out place to celebrate with chocolate pudding.`

(I had such great memory in this dream.  :P)  Instead I went around to random rooms knocking on the door every night to find somewhere to crash.  People were surprisingly amenable to this.  The con also went on much longer than normal since I stayed in a good 10 different rooms over the course of the dream.

I had a dream like an episode of Castle(the TV series), only it was supernatural. In a previous episode Castle and Beckett had dealt with the remnants of an ancient pre-human civilisation who slept in stasis pods below the sea. They were humanoid, but had snakes/tentacles as hair, Medusa-style (non-motile, though), all the way down the spine to the lower back. Their skin color was a mix of human tones and blue. Their architecture was in themes of bronze(a bit like Asgard in the Thor movie) and blue tanks of fluid.

These remnants were now slowly integrating into human society, but now a second city(actually just a large room) of pods was waking up, and they were somehow misinterpreting the situation and trying to eradicate humanity. Two of them were having a throwdown inside the aquatic city because one of them was trying to stop it, and thats all I remember.

I had a dream that I was raising a black puppy named Sidney. She was very well-behaved and loving, and it was bittersweet to see her get adopted (by a lesbian couple, no less).

Later in the dream, a bunch of people from the computer science department at my school decided they were fed up with America and wanted to head to Europe. Sadly, Europe refused to let them enter, so a guy named Kevin in the group shouted, "I'm going to Brazil! The women there are just as hot!" Everyone else cheered, "Yeah!" and stampeded towards the nearest airport, leaving me alone in the cafeteria.

With everyone gone, I decided to raise another puppy. This one was less than an inch tall, easily fitting in the palm of my hand. I filled a tiny water dish for him and he happily drank from it, and for the rest of the dream I obsessively filled the dish to ensure he had enough to drink.

Last night I dreamed that people kept breaking into my house (and for some reason, they were all black. I suppose my subconscious is racist). Only I could fly, so my solution was to perch on the top of the doorway with a knife in each hand, and every time someone broke in, I'd swoop down and go all stabby on them.

I dreamt that I was in a restaurant with a couple friends trying to decide what I wanted to eat. I was ready to order the chicken, which sounded delicious, but I noticed that it was priced at $60. The waiter noticed that I was looking at the chicken and began a little speech trying to persuade me to order it and boost the bill. I wouldn't fall for this, though, and the waiter grew impatient and left while I was still trying to decide what I wanted. After half an hour of debate, I finally decided to order pizza. They had a bizarre sizing system for it -- small was size 0, 1, or 3, medium was size 5, 7, 9, and it went up to large and extra-large in what appeared to be pants sizes. The waiter returned and apologized for forgetting about us for half an hour, and I ordered a size 3 pizza with just cheese. He seemed irritated that I took so long to order something so plain. He stormed away from the table to put in my order, and I was left feeling guilty as hell.

Last night I dreamt that I was beginning a computer science internship working for my favorite professor. I arrived at his building early that morning and there were hundreds of other students there. I was rather disappointed since many of them were complete assholes, and I was not in the mood to work with folks like that. We were waiting for an elevator to arrive to take us up to a secret building when I noticed this fundie named Elizabeth who had a unibrow. I wanted to shave it on the spot for her, but I was able to hold back.

The elevator finally arrived, and we went up to a giant lecture hall where my professor was giving a presentation on some of his research. It was a program written in R, and I was upset because the majority of the audience seemed to understand exactly what he was talking about, while I didn't have a clue. I felt so helpless. After exploring the building some more, I decided to go home.

There was a horrible storm hitting the town as I drove through, and I stopped at a grocery store because this was clearly the ideal time to do some shopping. I bought a cart of stuff and ran outside to get it loaded in my car before it dissolved in the rain. There were three teens in front of my car throwing things at it, and I told them to go fuck themselves. The girl took a stick and tried to break my headlight with it, and I turned around sharply in the parking lot and sped off.

Heading down the road to a light, I was speeding so much that I nearly hit a cop who happened to be blocking the intersection. I steered into the curb to avoid him, and while I was afraid of the consequences, I figured I could use the excuse of running from those unruly teens to avoid punishment. However, just as the cop looked like he was going to come talk to me, he jumped in his car and drove off.

I backed off the curb and continued my path home. The wind was so strong that many trees were bent horizontally, and the rain was falling sideways. A tree began to fall in front of me, and I swerved into the other lane just in time to avoid it. I continued forward and another tree fell, this one much larger. I narrowly missed this one, too, and continued home as if I were invincible.

The other day, I dreamt during a nap that someone had resurrected Hitler. I'm not really clear on why that happened, or why I was in the room when he was re-animated, but I distinctly remember my first words to the fuhrer being "You missed a few". Kinda felt like a bad person when I woke up.

The only thing I remember from my dream last night was that I was banding a bird and it was "drooping" in my hand. That is, it's eyes were closing and it was becoming a little limp. To a bander, that's really bad because it means that the bird is becoming exhausted from the stress of being in your hand. (For the record, banders try to do everything to the bird as quickly as possible and release them in under 5 minutes.) It's never happened to me in real life, oddly enough.

I had an awesome dream last night that I was a crew member on a space ship that was getting boarded by two different groups of hostile aliens.

One group was tiger-people who came in through a science module connected to the main ship by a long tube. I stopped them by sealing off the ship-end of the tube and detaching it from the ship. All the aliens that were in the ship got blown out into space.

The other group was a bunch of different dinosaur/bug monsters. The whole crew (everyone that hadn't been killed yet anyway) ended up backed into one big room on the far end of the ship. We all had guns and were pointing them out into the big hall that the monsters would have to come down to get us. There was one big one that we hoped we could kill if we all shot it at once.

I woke up in the middle of the climactic fight.

I had a zombie dream this morning.  I'm blaming Resident Evil for that.

I was living in Sweden, and some kind of zombie plague had spread across the planet, infecting maybe 90% of the world's population.  For some reason though, they zombies only lived for about three days - some more, some less - so it was only a few days of fighting and hiding until we were fairly safe.
The survivors in the apartment block where dream-me was living organised into a group, and when the crisis was over we set about cleaning up, and a woman who'd gone missing earlier suddenly appeared.  We asked her where she'd been, and she said she'd been on holiday in Australia - apparently it was so remote that the zombie plague never made it there.

I'm guessing that would be The Wither.

Anyway, last night I dreamed that I was walking along a bridge, and these women were all taking their shirts off as I walked past, only they had things like only one tit or both tits were one above the other rather than side by side. Then I ran into some girl I knew from a long time ago, and when she disrobed it turned out that she had eight tits (kind like they would be on dog or a cat, only human breasts rather than just nipples).

Oh, and earlier in that same dream, there was something about some anime or JRPG character who'd sleep in my bed after I got up. Then my dad would just walk in and start vigorously raping him/her (the sex was a little ambiguous) up the ass right in front of me, and somehow without waking him/her up. I decided that I need to try and figure out how to tell him to please not do that on my bed without offending him (as I recall, I didn't have much success).

I have to say, even by dream standards, that one was a little bit weird.

Had this dream last night, where a meteorite hit the earth. As you will see it is 100% scientifically accurate.

I was looking out my bedroom window, when I just saw it flash across the horizon and hit the earth. Then the ground started rumbling and bits of flaming rock hit my window.

I went to grab provisons, and while I was getting food from the fridge, I bumped into my dad and had this stupid conversation:

Me: A meteorite has just hit, we have to go!
Dad: A metorite, I don't think you realise how serious this could be. People could die.
Me: No shit dad, we don't have time for this, lets go!

Then when I opened the front door to leave there was all this weird green lava stuff that looked like liquid circuit boards outside.

Then I woke up.

I had a dream last night that I was eight months pregnant and needed an abortion because my life was at risk. Quite the nightmare, I must say.

Just remembered another one I had. I was Natalie Wood's character in Rebel Without a Cause, and we were swimming toward the abandoned mansion. I heard my parents chasing me (not my real parents, but instead some classy 1950s folks), and decided to hide in a closet in one of the rooms there. My parents entered the room, and I heard my mom insist they check the closet. Rather than actually opening the closet door and looking inside, my dad took a machine gun and fired it through the door. "See, there's no one in there," he insisted. I stood there in horror, my heart pounding at how close I'd come to getting shot. My parents sat down in the room to discuss where else they may find me, and I decided this would be a good time to eat a snack. I conjured a bag of Doritos and opened it, and the loud noise brought my parents to open the closet door and find me inside. I was disappointed that they'd found me. Clever one, I am.

I had the weirdest effing dream last night. It started off with my brother and I in a helicopter (I was flying it for some reason). At some point, I think I fell asleep at the controls.. or blacked out or something... and next thing I know, we run out of fuel and crash into a parking lot. We're both okay, but then I pass out again, and wake up in an empty room. Turns out that room belonged to some child molester who'd decided to grab my bro and I, despite already having a little girl already. At some point the guy comes into the room he left me in (he was huge, btw), then leaves, but forgets to close the door. I follow him out and beat him to death with a bar stool, and the three of us run out into another parking lot, where our families find us.

No clue what that has to do with anything.

I had a brief dream last night where I was in a Victorian dress shop with my mom. All the dresses were extremely cheaply made, most of them made out of construction paper. Then Donald Trump came into the store and started talking about how Obama is ruining the dress industry. I don't know how tall Trump really is, but in the dream, he towered over me. I insulted him somehow, and everyone in the store started to laugh at him. Then I walked out of the dress shop like a boss.

I had a weird sickness-induced dream last night. As told to someone else:

Quote
it took place on one of those old sitcom sets, and there was this one guy that everyone for some reason thought was the second coming, which he simultaneously was and wasn't somehow, and there were a shitload of people crowding the guy, trampling each other and everything, trying to get healed or whatever, then of course a few times I got up irl, puked, the dream continued where it left off (this never happens) except the last time before I actually fell asleep for the rest of the night, where suddenly not-Jesus was a superhero of some sort and a black guy. So in short I had a dream about an African-Canadian superhero sitcom Jesus who kept getting trampled by crowds. What. Dreams are weird.

I had this really disturbing nightmare last night that I gave birth to some kind of evil alien spawn.  :o

Warning: This will sound nasty.

I was in the bath, an empty one for some reason :/ when I looked down and some green slime came out. I was like "WTF is this" and then this weird thing just popped out. It was roughly the same size and shape as a creme caramel, and it had a small, wide flat tail.

I thought it was dead, so I just left it in the bath and went to get dressed. When I came back about 15 minutes later, it had grown to be just over a foot long and was more tadpole shaped. It was crawling over the edge of the bath and just flopped on to the floor.

Whilst I was standing there just freaking out, it escaped to the kitchen. Eventually I managed to trap it under a large saucepan. I was shouting for someone to help me destroy it, and then I woke up.

I have never been so relieved to find out I was just dreaming.

Beat that if you can!

I dreamt that there was a girl locked in a room. Her hair was a mess, she wore what I think was a medical gown, her skin was filthy, eyes and teeth white, but her chin and mouth were covered in what I think was blood. The room she locked in was dark, like there was a single light behind me (I'm honestly not sure if I was in the dream or not; it felt like I was a security camera) that wasn't strong enough to light up the whole room. Still, what was visible was completely trashed. Walls and floor covered in the same dark, dirty material as the girl's body, chairs and table knocked over and ruined. The whole dream consisted of this girl constantly staring in my direction, though she alternated between standing and staring angrily, and leaping at and trying to claw at me.

I don't really know what brought this about. It wasn't even scary; I was just like, "What the fuck, man?" when I woke up.

I dreamt last night that I was a man married to an insane fundie woman. In our house, I opened a random closet door and she was inside. She lunged out at me and began reciting bible verses, telling me that I was going to hell if I didn't follow them. I hurried out the front door and ran through the neighborhood, but she only followed me, wide-eyed and still screaming verses. I woke up when she was about to catch me.

Lately I have been dreaming about completely normal things that happen in my every day life and are usually very relevant to what's going on. So naturally, I have been extremely confused on what memories are from real life and what was a dream.

I dreamed that I was a soldier in the Mass Effect setting, fighting the Reapers. I was in a city, and we managed to disable one Reaper, causing it to topple over, leaning against a building. I then saw a human couple, trapped in the building, decide to have one last tumble before they died. The dream gave me some form of telescopic vision, and the woman bore a distinct resemblance to Dichen Lachmann. Sadly, they were quickly found and killed by husks.

I had a dream that me and my boyfriend were at the mall, and we got really hungry. We went to the food court and got some asian noodles. Apparently a new law was passed where you could only eat one ingredient at a time though, and if you broke it you would spend the rest of your life in prison. Well my boyfriend decided to cheat and hide the noodles in his pocket while he got another thing, like veggies. Then he would hide that and get more ingredients, etc. So after like 10 ingredients there were some cops kinda watching us. Well we kept running and finally the cops cornered us. The main cop was about to take us away, but then we handed her some of the noodles. She ate them and realized how delicious they were with mixed ingredients. So then me and the cops just ate the tasty noodles together in peace, and then everyone could eat ingredients together again forever.

I had a dream where one of my packages arrived, except instead of a DVD and CD (which is what I'd ordered, and am incidentally still waiting for), it was a power pack (you know, the big lumpy kind that takes up three spaces on the power bar unless it's plugged in the bottom of it) and a pack of batteries. What.

I had a dream that I bought a Snuggie that had a kitty pocket in it. As I was leaving the store with my mom and sister, I discovered two young boys picking on a cat. I kicked their asses and grabbed the cat before anyone else could get it, hurrying to the car to take it home. Another kitty who looked quite like a miniature tiger came over to the car and appeared to want inside, so we let him in as well. When we got home, we let the cats roam around a large living area. The tiger kitty seemed to want out though, which made me sad. My mom concluded, "You know what? He's on a search for his long-lost brother and sister, and I think we'd better let him go." I was sad to hear this, but I opened the door for tiger kitty to leave, knowing it was for the best. He scurried outside and continued his quest, and I was left with the original kitty to have in my Snuggie kitty pocket.

I just dreamed that I was on a large plane, and it was hotter than a fat guy's armpit. So as a solution, the plane was filled with water, so that when sitting down, it was about chest height. It felt so cool and refreshing. Granted, it's clearly a horrible idea when you think about it for more than a second, but when I woke up, I thought it was a freaking awesome idea.

I recently dreamt I was playing hide and seek with my younger cousins and my niece and that I hid in this secret part of my house that is only accessible via a weird door in my grandmothers closet. (Funny thing this door has appeared in other dreams but it's always different one time it was a gateway to a mall , another time it lead me to the ship in the movie Alien. So yeah it's a weird thing.)

I had a dream I was at work a couple of hours before the store opened (I work in a bakery).  Suddenly, one of my coworkers started screaming that customers were trying to break into the store.  She then yelled, "They breached the out defenses!  They got through the outer doors!"

A bunch of old people then swarmed into the store, harrassing any unprepared worker in sight.

I grabbed a couple of my 8 pound metal measuring couples, ran into the sales area, and proceeded to perform, "Cup Fu!"  Swinging my measuring cups like martial arts weapons, I smashed any old person unlucky enough to be nearby.  One little old lady waled up to me and meekly said, "I'm just here to pick up my cake."

I responded, "The store's not open yet!"  I then performed a spinning back attack, bouncing both cups off her skull.

I woke up feeling refreshed and that day I told me coworkers my dream.  One of them chuckled (though they all agreed), "Jay, you're going to Hell."

So, I had a (number of) dream(s) last night and there were three I wanted to remember but, now that I woke up, I can only remember one.

I dreamed that it was during the Bush Administration and I'd been invited to attend an award ceremony where President Shrub the Second was giving out awards and honors to soldiers. One solider brought a piece of leather art for the president (shut up, it was a dream) detailing the timeline between 9/11 and the invasion of Iraq. Bush noticed there was no mention of a WMD discovery and wondering if they were playing a joke. I leaned over and whispered to him that it was a government conspiracy and then got to laugh as he kept running around the room accusing everyone of being in on the conspiracy and making himself look like a bigger fool than he already was.

It made me grin.

...if course then I had a dream that I was blasting down the highway on my motorcycle when a firetruck rounded the corner in my lane. I swerved and went off the road, my bike went out from under me and I was sliding across the grass along the side of a hill when the firetruck did a high-side roll and started sliding right into my path. The truck missed smearing me across the grass and once I came to a stop I got up and went to go help drag the firefighters from the wreck.

Yeah, fun dreams.

Last night, I dreamed that I was back at an apartment I don't have that many fond memories of.  For some reason, a bunch of guys in black suits wanted to kill me.  I put something down inside of the apartment that would kill them and keep them from getting to me (I have no clue what it was - some sort of black spinny thing? Dunno how to describe it).  Then all of a sudden, the 9th doctor shows up with a Dalek that was apparently good to save my life.  Then both me and the 9th doctor started having a conversation with my downstairs neighbor about Bad Religion for some reason.  All the while, I was texting randomwolf42 about stuff.  :P

If there's any Doctor that would listen to Bad Religion, it would be Nine.

Anyway, my dreams lately seem to be set in a single world, but I do different things in different places of the world.  Areas that keep showing up are  My old High school, a hospital, an apartment complex, a building made up of multiple levels that appears to contain a mall, a movie theatre, and, of all things, a Wal-Mart; a pair of race tracks (of course), an airport, a mine, a town that can be huge or small depending on the dream...
There's probably things I'm missing, but the past year or so every one of my dreams has taken place on this world.  I'm getting to know it quite well.

Not so much a "dream," rather a "nightmare" (because I woke up from it, as if I've killed at the split second).

The first part, I was checking out some used-game store. I was not an impressive store like one miles from me but a crappy one, much worse than a mediocre, disappointing store I've visited in College Station. I've had a couple of dreams where I discover a goldmine or stash of games, and often the stash is either exciting or disappointing, and this was one of those dreams where I found a crappy collection.

Part two, and I don't know how I got there; I was on a mission with a man who reminded me of Deckard from Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?/Blade Runner (or Gilliam, an expy from Snatcher) and other men and women and we were on a mission in a semi-apocalyptic environment to stop a nuclear missile from being launched (I don't know why when almost every inch of life is already dead and seemingly radioactive). We practically were far from our destination and we've raced to get there, despite pitfalls and roadblocks on the way. Since I was incompetent, I've screwed my team over to where we were dead close to the deadline. By the time we arrived, it was just me and that "Deckard" lookalike and we were trying to find the signal to hijack the operation. Since were were so close to the last minute and the code was so specific (it was an article from old magazines covering the original book of A Clockwork Orange) and I foundered and panicked to where it angered my leader. The final thing I tried before the countdown was to obtain an audiobook of the correct issue of the magazine, but when I requested it, the woman on the phone just gave us some elevator music. Just when the countdown was starting, expy Deckard and I ran to a room to take cover. I tried to bring the phone with me as the missile has already launched off and just before I could take cover... I woke up. I was presumably killed or some inconvenient interruption stopped me from seeing what happens next, like a cliffhanger on a series that got cancelled afterwards.

And yes, my nerves were frazzled. It was around 4:00 or so in the morning when I woke up.

Well, this was a great dream. I was in a computer science class with a professor who would sexually assault female students. Desperate to save my classmates, I went into the bathroom that was attached to the classroom and wrote a message in red sharpie on the shower floor. It said something like "Stephen, please help us. The professor is doing sexual things and we have to escape." I was hoping Stephen (another professor) would promptly respond.

When I came back to class the next day, I checked the shower floor and Stephen had responded. In black sharpie, he wrote, "This is serious. Come see me." I hurried to his office and sat down, closing the door behind me. He looked extremely concerned and asked me to explain everything. I told him about the professor (who was in his 70s) and his wandering hands, the way he gave grades based on performance. Stephen was wide-eyed as I revealed all this. Suddenly, two scantily clad girls came into his office and interrupted me, and I was no longer able to continue my story. I don't think we ever found a solution to the bad professor.

This is a rather odd one. I dreamed that I joined some group on Facebook that's an internet porn version of AA, purely as a joke. Somehow, it managed to track my browser or something, so whenever I looked at porn, it would leave an automated "you've been viewing porn, please seek help with us immediately" message on my wall for all to see. Needless to say, I ended up with three of the bloody things within a few hours before I noticed.

What is it with me and 911 dreams?  Every time something happens in my dreams and I try to cal 911, either I can't get through or the person on the other end doesn't believe me ot doesn't care.

Here are some I've had before:

1. My little brother fell into the river and we couldn't find him.  I called and they asked if it was really that important, saying they had other things to do.

2. A lion was chasing us through an office building, but the person on the other end of the line didn't believe us (Okay, I understand it in this case).

3.  A lady ran over a kid on a skateboard but was more concerned that people would call her racist for hitting a black kid than the fact that said kid was barely alive.  The person on the other end of the line said, "Jay, I'm disappointed in you.  You know better than to make up stuff like that."

4.  I don't remember the situation, but I remember calling, skipping the initial report, and just threatening to show up at the emergency station with a rocket launcher.  Unfortunately, I woke up in mid-threat.

5.  Couldn't get through because it was busy.

6.  Got the reply;  "Stop calling, this is for emergencies!"

7.  For some weird reason, I couldn't find the 9 or 1 on my cell phone.

8.  The other night, I dreamt that a dog led me to a pet store where the store's owner was lying on the ground.  For some reason, I called immediately instead of checking his condition.  The person on the other end of the line said, "This is our day off.  Check the yellow pages for someone else."  I ended up going next door to a restaurant and getting Them to call.

I'm afraid to call anyone if there's a real emergency now!

I dreamt that I found a stray dog on the road and brought him back to my place to care for him. He had at least five tags on his collar, and they said that his owner lived in Dahlgren. I called several numbers that were listed on the tags, but they were either disconnected or went straight to voicemail. I was sad that he'd never get to see his owner again, but he seemed perfectly happy with me.

At one point, I was walking up my driveway and found several exotic animals along the way. One was a cheetah, and he trotted over to me and let me pet him just like a domestic kitty.

My dreams come in two varieties. One: This freaky circular thing where details at the end of the circle change. Most recent example: I go to school, where we learn about photosynthesis. On my way home, I see a guy running from another guy with a knife but I'm totally okay with it for some reason. I get home, go back to school, learn about photosynthesis. On my way home, I see the two guys but this time I'm a little concerned. It repeats until eventually I'm the one with the knife chasing the two guys.
Two: I run into someone I haven't seen in a while and we immediately begin fighting. It can range from verbal snarking to tanks and armies. Most recent example: Bumped into an auntie at the grocery store, she called me a slut and I threw a can of chicken noodle soup at her face.

This will teach me not to eat Cookie Crisp at 4am.

I was asleep, and I could have sworn that I heard sweeping and mopping.  I get up, go into the kitchen and there's my Mom.  Naturally I'm startled, and go, in essence:  "Bwha?"  Mom sees me, then is... pulled backward.  As if she's got a hook in her butt or something.  I chase after, going "Ma... Ma..."  I catch up to her, and ask:  "What are you DOING here?"
"What I always do," she replies.
"B-but you DIED," I say.  She sort of reels, her hand clutching her heart, and says something like:  "I don't believe you."

That's when I woke up.

I've always been a pretty vivid dreamer and I tend to remember most of what I dream. Heck I can remember dreams from 10 years ago. But I don't usually write them down. However this dream, from a few years ago, was exceptionally vivid and memorable. So I woke up and wrote the whole thing down.

It's pretty long and I can understand that some people think I may have just made this up, rather than it being a dream, but I assure you this is completely genuine. Obviously in writing it down I've had to help it make more sense than perhaps dreams do, but I've not altered the content in any way, just the narrative so it flows a bit better. The one thing I have altered is the main character, who was The Doctor in the dream.

“There are some things you need to know about time travel. It’s dangerous. The pair of us being here can change the future.”

“In what way? It’s not as if we’re interfering with anything major”, the girl interjected.

“How you can you be sure though?”, he replied. “By just being on this street we’re changing the future. All these people, going about their business, we’re getting in the way.”

“Take this old lady coming towards us. She’s going to have to go around us, where before she just carried on straight past. We’ve cost here mere seconds really, but those seconds can have a knock on effect elsewhere. She may miss a bus or a train. Or meet an old friend she wouldn’t have otherwise. It’s called the butterfly effect. Small, often inconsequential effects, can have a much larger unseen impact.”

“So we could start a World War Three by being here?”, the girl added.

“I think that’s a little unlikely”, the time traveller said. “I think most of the time the universe just compensates for these unscheduled interruptions. The worst we could do is to prevent a few people being born.” He paused, “or stop people meeting.”

“Are you sure you want to do this though? I mean that accident had a pretty big impact upon your life. It would change everything.”

“That accident took six years of my life”, she said. “I spent years in rehabilitation. Years wondering if I’d walk again, wishing I was dead.”

“But you recovered”, he said.

“I did, but the price was too high. I want those years back. Will you do it for me?”

The time traveller stopped and gazed upon the street. He looked upon the people travelling to work. The hustle and bustle of shops and street vendors.

“Is this where it happened?”

“On that corner there”, the girl pointed at a traffic light just changing to green. “We’ve got about ten minutes.”

“Okay”, he said. “You wait in that bar over there. Order us some drinks. I’ll watch for you here. Past you I mean”.

“What will you do?”, she asked.

He looked at his watch. “I’ll think of something.”

“There’s something I need you to do though.” The girl nodded in reply. “Once you appear, past you, I want you to hide. The pair of you can’t see each other. It could have a profound effect on the future.”

“Alright”, she said “Good luck”. Reaching up she kissed him on the cheek, before turning around and walking towards the bar.

He watched her walk the short distance before checking his watch again. Anytime now he thought.

The few minutes seemed like a life time. The street was as busy as ever and he wasn’t sure he’d be able to find her quickly enough.

Walking a few steps along the street he could see her watching him from the window of the bar. He smiled, she waved back.

Starting back along the street he saw a small red haired girl coming towards him. This was it. This was the moment. Looking at the corner where the accident was about to happen, a plan formed in his mind.

Casting one more glance at the window of the bar, he quickened his pace, pushing his way through the busy shoppers. Every second was important.

His heart beat faster as he got closer. His hands sweated. This would be the only chance he’d have to do this. He had to make it work.

Stopping a few meters away, he began fumbling in his coat pockets. Pulling out a packet of cigarettes he approached the girl.

“Excuse me. You don’t happen to have a light I could borrow do you?” It was the best he could think of.

“Erm…no sorry, I don’t smoke”, was the reply. Her voice was somehow lighter than the one he’d come to know, it carried a more care free tone.

She began to carry on walking. There was still no sign of the van.

Panicking a little he tried to press the conversation. “Ur, could you tell me where the…err, King’s Head is please?”

“The what?” she said abruptly.

“The King’s Head. It’s a pub around here.”

“No”, she said and turned around to walk off. There was still no sign of the van.

He checked his watch again. “Are you sure? It’s quite popular. Does amazing food apparently.”

“No I really don’t know. I’m sorry.”

At that moment the street was filled by engine noise as a van hurtled around the corner, running a red light. There were a few screams as people ran out of its path and then the van shot off down the road at excessive speeds, inuring no one.

The time traveller and girl watched the van speed off. “Maniac. He could have killed someone”, she said. He smiled. “Or severely hurt someone.”

He watched as she turned and continued her path along the street, turned a corner and vanished from sight.

Still smiling he headed back to the bar. In the window he could see the girl he knew looking back at him. She’d watched the whole thing. He sighed, knowing what would happen next.

She smiled at him as he crossed the street, happy that he’d stopped the accident. He stopped short of the window where she could still be seen. A yellow glow enveloped her and, still smiling, she vanished.

At the table by the window, two drinks sat, one full, one half empty. Her red lipstick surrounding the rim. Lifting the full glass he drank deeply until a female voice behind startled him.

Stood there, clutching a piece of paper, was the barmaid. “The lady who was sat there asked me to give you this.” Taking the folded piece of paper, he recognised his name written in the girl’s handwriting.

“If you’re reading this then it can mean only one thing. You stopped the accident, but I’m gone. I realise now what you meant earlier about how us being here could affect the future. Stopping the accident came with a price, and that prices was me. Or rather us. Without the accident we would have never met and had all those great times. I don’t know what will happen now, with my life, with yours. But I want you to do one last thing for me. Find me. Find the me you saved. Find me and get to know me all over again. I love you.”

He put the paper in his pocket and took one last drink. He knew this was the price for what she asked. That’s why he asked her to hide. Not to prevent the two of them from seeing each other, but because he couldn’t bear to see what would happen to her.

Finishing the drink he returned the glass to the table. Closed his eyes, and was gone.

This last night I had a couple fairly bad ones. The first, I dreamed I was looking after the house as usual, keeping an eye on the dog and such, when this car drove up to the house and honked. Taking the dog into my arms, I go out and see what they want. It's a woman in the car, thin, short dark hair, big brown eyes, very pale skin, and with a blank expression she pulls a gun on me. I know that moment I'm going to die. I wake up before she fires. That dream felt far too real.

The second one wasn't as bad for most of it. It was a blur, mostly having to do with libraries and travel, trying to find showers, strange things. But it got especially creepy at the end, when I was watching something. It was just a stupid show with stupid jokes, but then it got random and creepy. The audio was replaced with these odd noise screeches, and I'm just dumbfounded as I watch, the screen filling with odd images, like dead bodies, ragged cloth, a strange porcelain doll with two huge empty round eyes and an equally empty round hole for a mouth, and such. The one coherent thing I hear as it zooms in on bits is someone shouting "HANG THE FLAG". I woke up shortly afterwards.

I dreamt that I was sitting on the bleachers at a baseball game, and Rihanna sat down beside me. Apparently we were fairly good friends, and we chatted for awhile. A rapper (I have no clue which one) sat down beside her after a bit, and my ex sat beside me shortly afterward. He spilled the rapper's drink, which led to an argument and numerous threats. I was ashamed at this point, because this clearly damaged my relationship with Rihanna, perhaps beyond repair. The rapper stormed off to find some paper towels.

I had a dream that I was an American soldier during the Second World War, and I was bursting into an old Nordic Christian-style wooden church. Suddenly my dream jump-cut to my old rabbi and his assistant, who were carrying a Civil-War vintage mortar on their shoulders. Somehow I knew they were going to start shelling the church, unaware that it was "danger-too-close".

So I yelled to the one German soldier inside the church to get down (I wanted to save him for some reason) and then the shell hit, and I died and woke up simultaneously.

Yeah, it was one strange damned dream.

First, I had a dream about watching a TV show about an alien invasion, based in part on the book I'm currently listening to (John Ringo's Live Free or Die). Then I dreamed about going on a forum to talk about it. The thread relating to the show was 87 pages long, but in the last pages, two posters had been arguing and making weird and nonsensical posts (like

I had a dream that I was back in high school for the summer. I guess something happened with their paperwork or they messed up on something previously and I needed an art class before I could graduate (and since I finished undergrad go to grad shool). So I'm bored in class, and wind up with my old debate coach as my art teacher (dreams rock) who for the whole duration of the class catch up on where we've been for the last four years. So class ends and I go home.

So at home (and this is clearly a home I've never seen before) I start studying for whatever. Midway through I get hungry and go to make some food. At this point, I see Sleepy in my living room with her best friend (who happens to be a video game recolor of sleeps but with platinum blonde hair... yes, literally a doppelganger with all the same features and height, but slightly different hair). I didn't question it and we all played Star Fox.

I woke up midway through that game cause a kitten jumped on my belly in real life and he was cute :)

In a recent weird dream, I was at an indoor historical fair when I accidentally p***ed off some people and they began some chanting.  Suddenly, I found myself being chased by a fire-breathing zombie leprechaun.

I have no idea where that dream came from.  The night before, I ate a TV dinner, snacked on my usual cookies, and fell asleep watching hockey.  It was a perfectly uneventful and stress-free night.

I found myself in France. Paris, France. There were a lot more ultra-modern - but not real ultra-chic - skyscrapers than there actually are in Paris.

Also, I had a slice of toast, slathered in cheese. It had ham in it and I didn't know it. The toast was even fatter than it's deceptively thin, normal appearance. Inside was also cafeteria-quality gelatin.

Oh yes, and my sister was with me. One of her dreams is to visit that city, and my trip there was... too out there, too unreal.

...But of course, it was just a dream.

(Posting this before I finally call it a night and the possibility of dreaming another dream).

Last night, I was dreaming that I really wanted to go on a road trip around Germany with some of my family and a few other random people, but the government wouldn't let us in the country because we wanted to spit roast a pig at some point while we were there (not in that sense, you filthy bastards).

I don't think I've ever felt such genuine disappointment over not being able to eat barbequed pork in my entire life.

I had a dream where I was in the muscal Les Misérables, only it was absolutely nothing like it and there was no singing, it was just one of those things you know in a dream. I was a little boy at some kind of subway station ran by a mad doctor experimenting on children. I managed to free some of the other children and we killed the doctor. Everything was also either grey or covered in ash.

I had a dream where I was teleported to an alternate dimension where heroes, villains, and warriors from every dimension were going to participate in a grand tournament, hosted by a surprisingly kind goddess.  Several of my OCs were participating in the tournament, too.

The tournament wasn't a standard fighting tournament either.  Each round had a specific goal to it, and the warriors had to achieve that goal while also fighting each other off.  One of the rules, though, was that their entry fee was, more or less, their favored weapons.  They had to stick them into the ground, where they would stay there until the tournament was over.

Suddenly, this god of destruction (which I keep wanting to think of as Ares... after the fact) appears and boasts that he's going to destroy this dimension using his divine spear... which he sticks into the ground, thus accidentally initiating himself into the tournament.  He was pissed but he had to participate to get his spear back.

I had a dream where I was sitting on a bench at a concert, and suddenly Marilyn Manson wandered up to me and sat down and we started talking. In the dream, for some reason, he was married to my friend's ex, and she was being a bitch towards him, and he was depressed. We talked and he cuddled up to me for a while before wandering off. Then I went to the bathroom and shit randomly went Doom 3 on me. The lights were dim and flickering, water was covering the floor, a crazy person was muttering to himself and pissing himself and my shoes were gone. I walked out of the piss and toilet water cover bathroom and the audience was gone. I was looking for Manson, and kept catching glimpses of him throughout hallways, but he was ignoring me when I called out for him, and I remember thinking of him as a ghost. The stadium was completely abandoned, as if everyone just was atomized at once, besides for me and him. Sadly, my best friend woke me up with a message on Facebook, so it has no ending (she had an equally weird dream regarding Manson that night, too, but it at least had an ending, even if she did burn to death, and was able to feel it all).

The weirdest dream I've ever had was not weird for it's content. I had a dream months ago where the aforementioned best friend was going to commit suicide via jumping off a large building. I stopped her and saved her life. That day, I asked her about her dreams as I often do (she has insane dreams pretty much always, almost all extremely realistic in memory, if not in content). She proceeded to tell me about a dream where she was about to commit suicide via jumping off a large building where I stopped her and saved her life, and described the situation the same way I remembered. I proceeded to be extremely confused and weirded out, as did she after I told her about my dream.

I had a dream where I was in some sort of temple...I was a cultist and we worshipped an evil god. I escaped and went running for a long time across a land filled with darkness, tombs, and withered plants. Monsters and the cultists came running after me from across the plains, but I hid in the hills where there were secret pools of water and old ruins.

That sounds friggin awesome (outside of the no Crystal Pepsi).

The other night, I had a dream that shows I REALLY need to lay off listening to Rammstein for a bit. I had a dream where, for some reason, they were crashing at my house. I got out of bed and Ollie was passed out at the desktop computer and thought he was dead. Reesh was sleeping on top of my mother's truck, outside. Till was sleeping with my parents (in more ways than one, because my brain hates me). The rest were scattered throughout the house. Me and my family were debating who would wake up Till and tell him Ollie's dead, then Ollie woke up. Till came into the kitchen and we were eating bread sticks, and for some reason, he didn't understand them and ended up making blowjob motions due to it. Then I was woken by a Facebook message, so there's no ending here.

I rarely remember any of my dreams, but this one I had a while ago was too weird to forget. In it, I was snowboarding in the mountains (which is weird since I ski, not snowboard) except my board was like some crazy-ass rocket snowboard thing, letting me ride at ridiculous speeds and get tons of air off jumps. the only other people around were my family and a couple friends. Aside from them, the mountain was devoid of people. It was a pretty weird dream.

I've had plenty of dreams where my right molar breaks apart and falls out.  It's probably due to paranoia since my left molar decayed and broke apart over a period of years until I finally went to an oral surgeon to have the roots removed (since the roots were all that was left).

Sometimes in my dreams, when something really bad or embarrassing happens, the dream actually resets itself to a previous point so I can avoid it.

I had a zombie apocalypse dream a couple of nights ago. The only part I remember is I was basically hanging from an iron bar a few metres off the ground, kicking a giant zombie's face in, while arguing with a fellow survivor who was standing on a window ledge beside me whether or not I was a greater asset to the group than a 3rd person I don't recall. My logic was that I'd scavenged better gear, consisting of armour, a pair of cleats and a shotgun, whereas my unseen rival only had the same armour, and inferiour weaponry and footwear. As I recall, I both won the argument and killed the giant zomble all at the same time.

But it wasn't a nightmare. Seriously, no part of the dream felt scary to me, the only thought I seemed to have in the dream was that the death by mob was totally justified. "Well it was a fair court" could be the title of the dream.

I don't even know what it was that I had done to anger the crowd and no part of the dream actually had anything to reveal the reason. Apparently it wasn't important.

So today while napping I had the weirdest dream. The dream was basically I had won a trip to Saudi Arabia (I don't know why I think I had won it from How it's Made so... .) And anyway, the trip was apparently for four days and three nights I think. So I went on a tour of a factory and met this guy who operates the robots and became friends with him and I somehow lost something pertaining to my hotel or something so I stayed with him and his family (like his wife and his four year old daughter.)  and so I went out of the house they had and that's when I had woken up.

I had quite a doozy last night. So I'd just gotten off a bus, and I realised I'd left my wallet on it. Luckily, the bus was still there was I went back to the bus stop, and the driver was happy to wait. However, the bus had grown legs and was way too high for me to reach. So I was trying to reach the door by using a ladder on a nearby tree, but the ladder kept slipping off the tree. Eventually, I reached the top of the ladder, at which point the bus had not only turned into a giant horse, but we'd all moved from a bus stop to someone's living room without me noticing. I climb onto the horse's head and figure I can work my way down to its left front leg, figuring that's where I'll find the door. However, the horse doesn't take kindly to this and starts trying to buck me off. So I'm clinging to its face for dear life, and the people watching were all laughing their asses off at my misfortune. I manage to fall off safely onto their couch, at which point I take another look at the horse, and it's changed, yet again, into a deer fawn. I then decide to start chewing out the people around me for not warning me that the bus had actually been a baby deer all along (and rightly so, in my opinion, fucking assholes). Ah, dreams are so much fun, sometimes.

I dreamt that Reagan was president again, except he seemed to be ashamed of the fact that he'd been an actor and tried to prevent the general public from knowing. He did this by having people construct fake buildings across the country, the kind you'd see on stage in a high school play that would tip over from the slightest breeze. This actually did a fair job of hiding his past for awhile, but one day, the buildings came toppling down in a riot and he was exposed. That dirty fuck.

So.  One of my cousins recently had a baby.  I dreamed that I saw her and the baby...only the baby was tiny enough to fit in my hand (but still proportionally normal for a 2-month-old).  We were in my grandmother's actual house* the entire dream, so Tiny Baby was my only real hint that something weird was going on.  And it being a dream, I didn't notice it until I woke up and was all, "No.  Baby was 9 lb when she was born, not a tiny baby-doll figure."

This is only one of many unusually-realistic dreams I've had lately, usually with only 1 or 2 details that make it recognizable as a dream instead of an actual experience.  To the point that I almost asked my fiance "Hey, are you sure we should have just left that half-full shopping cart in the middle of the grocery store and not at least told an associate about that?" before I realized that that didn't actually ever happen.

I think my subconscious might hate me.

* For some reason, my grandmother's house is a common setting for my Weird Realistic Dreams.  Most of the time, it's exactly the same as her actual house, with one of 2 variations.
a) An extra bathroom next to where the living room should be, plus a pool in the back yard instead of her gazebo
b) Nothing in the back bathroom works right.  The toilet clogs, the shower won't turn on, and I don't even bother to try the sinks.
Not sure why the weirdness is so focused on bathrooms.

My dream last night was that I was part of a force fighting off an alien invasion (I've been watching a lot of XCOM playthroughs lately), which somehow turned into occupying and defending a brothel from said aliens. And then becoming really good friends with one of them. I don't recall sleeping with her, just being friends, which has story-of-my-life implications I'd rather not think about. Anyways, this whole thing somehow turns in to a family vacation... in a brothel... and I'm pretty sure even my dream self wanted my head examined. And no, there was not anything weird, my family was just there, doing family things (talking, eating, playing with the kids), like nothing about this was strange at all.
Oh, and my friend's name in this dream was Elizabeth. I don't know why that was important.

I had a nightmare last night where I was sentenced to be burned to death for trying to escape from this village.

On the way to the execution I caused a diversion and escaped, then I tried to take shelter at a random house, but it had a really vicious guard dog.

I couldn't fight it off, so I backed it into an oven, shut the door and turned it on.

Then the dream just ended with me holding the oven door shut, while the dog was whimpering in pain and struggling to get out.

I had a dream where there was a violent anti-government uprising (no idea what ideology), and my mom and stepfamily (hard core conservatives) allied with about a dozen of our family friends (almost exclusively neo-hippy or slightly-punk liberals) to defend the homestead against invading rebel factions after our crops, chickens, and pot. Then we all went out for liquor and Chinese food to celebrate our victory for the day.

Have a couple of rather short sentences about two of my dreams:

1) At some sort of resort. The whisky is $2,000 a glass. Apparently I or my family is filthy stinking rich. I end up going for a whisky on the second shelf which peaks at $1,800 a glass. Are these glasses big? Nope. Standard rock glass. I don't know what else. I just remember the expensive whisky glasses.

2) I'm trying to kill something with a sniper rifle. But the bullet penetration isn't high enough. Someone next to me ends up suggesting a fucking bottle rocket. I actually try it. My sniper doesn't explode when I fire the fucking bottle rocket. It still isn't enough. So instead we decide to use telekinesis to up the penetration of a regular piece of ammo. I don't remember what happens after that.

And I had a weirder dream but it faded away. I just had this feeling of wtf when I woke up tho.

Had a weird dream where Loki was in a wrestling match with Deadshot and Deadshot smashed him over the head with a crystal punch bowel that knocked him out. When he came too, Viper was there and she hypnotized him into joining this group she and Deadshot are in to take on the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Then I called Empress Nikki up to gab about the episode. Then it turned into a dream where Korra was trapped in a submarine by her jerkass uncle for some reason. Then Puddles woke me up by crying. Very weird.

In my dream, which mixed the modern day with Mass Effect, the Reapers attacked my city, sending creatures all through the city.  My wife and I told each other that if one of us got turned into something by these things, the other would kill him/her.  We then got separated, but I managed to get a couple of SMG's and an assault rifle that also fired energy grenades when a Turian squad handed out weapons to certain people.  Then, I heard someone announce that the Collectors had joined the Reapers in the battle (At this point, I saw a Reaper in the distance, and its laser just missed me).

After blasting several creatures, I ended up in a below-ground apartment complex with some woman, and we opened one door, but I slammed it shut when I heard buzzing.   The woman, who claimed she loved bees, started to open it, but I pulled her away.  We then started back toward the elevator, but when I opened the door to the hallway, a bunch of husks tried to burst in.  I slammed the door shut and told the woman to ready her gun.

I got my SMG ready and threw the door open while firing, but she claimed her gun wasn't the right color and turned around to find another.  I ended up shooting the husks and running for the elevator, shouting for her, but she took her sweet time, asking me if the gun she picked matched her hair.

After I slammed the elevator door shut and it started to rise, she took my hand and began running it through her hair while standing VERY close to me.  Reflexively, I backed away and told her I'm married.  She then said that for all I know, my wife could be dead, but I countered that, until I knew for sure, I was considering her alive.  I then also reminded her that we were in a city trapped by creatures that wanted to use us for fuel and material for new creatures, and that was definitely NOT the time to have a romantic moment.

As the elevator reached the ground floor, and the door opened, I added that her blatant stupidity and self-centered attitude repulsed me beyond all reason before I bolted out of the elevator and into the street, not even looking back.

Before I woke up, I promised myself that if she showed up again and tried to pull that crap, I'd just shoot her.

Had a dream where I met up with someone I haven't seen in almost a year, whom I've wanted to ask out for quite some time. I think I went to see her, given the geography, but it was amazing. All it was, was a date (I think to a carnival). Nothing overly sexual or, for me, fantasized, just a normal date with the woman I haven't been able to get out of my head for way longer than is probably rational.

Usually, a good dream for me is one where I don't watch a close friend get chased and killed. To have one where, not only were we not, at some level, in fear for our lives, but actually enjoying ourselves in a normal setting, makes this the best dream I've had in... I honestly don't know how long. Waking up has never made me this depressed in my life.

I've never had blood or shit in my dreams. For me the doors are either half the normal height, have massive gaps underneath them or they aren't wide enough.

And sometimes the whole needing to go to toilet dream is combined with discovering that I am wearing nothing underneath my coat.

I've had the needing-to-go-to-the-toilet dream once.  I ended up finding a toilet, using it in the dream...and my bladder relaxed in real life.  If it hadn't been That Time of the Month so I had a good excuse for washing my own sheets at 1AM, my mother would probably know.  And I'd have had to deal with the fallout from that one for the past however-many years.

*sigh* and I had a dream the other night about having a nice family vacation with my parents and my brother.  It hurt to wake up from.

The other day I had a dream where I was convinced that I had to go home, despite the fact that I was already there and fully aware of it. As in "Well, it's late, I have to go home and get to bed, even though I'm already home and my bed is right over there. So I'll get on a car, someone will drive me around the block, go back to the exact place where I am now, and go to bed."

I was aware that this made no sense whatsoever. I could find no reason to do it. I did it anyway.

When I was in middle school/high school band, I played the clarinet. I still dream that I'm about to go onstage when I realize my reed is missing/all chewed up/cracked right down the middle.
That wasn't the dream I had last night, though. Last night I dreamt I was at my ex's new house, and I was making nervous small talk with her mom when she came down the stairs. We hugged for a while before she took me to her room, and I got upset because I realized I was dreaming. I woke up crying and stayed in bed until I got water dumped on my bare feet.

After I woke up (it was 6:23 AM), I typed all of this out on Notepad.

Quote
I not too long ago had one fucked-up dream.

Before the end of the dream, it was like some program on a television channel like Animal Planet (since its emphasis is on... animals) and it was counting two owners who eventually dealt with overwhelming breeding of their pets and their strange, strange solutions to get rid of them. One owner had pomeranians who were multiplying like rabbits and another as some guy who had a huge ass aquarium whose population of goldfish became so overwhelming. Later that goldfish man's house flooded in heavy rain and the fish like went all over the damn place. Later his house becomes so water logged that he slams the door open and lets go of his overwhelmingly overpopulated goldfish aquarium that became his own home. Cue panicking neighbors, all of them for some really strange reason cosplaying, like much of them were the X-Men, even one woman was the battle form of the titular character of Wonder Momo (a Japan-only release from Namco in the arcades later in the mid 1980's).

Then later I decided to go check out a horrendously disorganized set of bookshelves, all black. The selves had paperback books and even miniature synthesizers (I don't know why) which I then demoed. Then I check out a film (I don't know how I got there) which was in a documentary style, and about a girl later on in her life dying of some weird disease she had since childhood and her parents had been desperately looking for a cure, cue many baffled doctors. The girl had lots of fat on her, and one of her arms shows infection, all greenish-lumps. While waiting in a clinic, some woman mocks her sad state and then it becomes something like a bizarre art-film: The girl, almost mentally retarded [excuse me] though, and unable to speak, then glances at the woman in an angry manner and then it flashes to her sun-phobia due to her disease, those being distorted monochrome footage of sunrise, frequently sped up. And it gets even stranger (and more disturbing) when as the woman screams and and cries as she discovers she caught the disease, footage of Texas Senator Ted Cruz pop up time to time (I really, really don't know why, and context would do it no good) and still images of the woman's lifeless, nude body on the floor of the waiting room also popping up and switching images quickly in a slide show manner. And the clusterfuck just continued until I woke up disturbed by what I saw. And all of that scene was played to Cabaret Voltaire's Yashar (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KEXCEz6ROqo).

I have really strange dreams, honestly. Thank god none of them are too real (if you've seen the film Inception, love it or hate it, you've seen why. And that movie was supposed to be a homage to really strange, and often really stupid, science fiction drama films of the 1990s).

I dreamt I and my siblings were given a disease that would kill us in 24 hours if it wasn't cured. We were all laying in my parents' bed, under the covers and overheating because we were feverish. My siblings slept through the whole dream. The attempted cure involved a cup of grayish whipped-cornstarch-and-water goo called milk, and I had to suck caterpillar-sized drops of it off a plate with a straw. It apparently worked, because next thing I know I'm downstairs in the kitchen having some kind of epiphany that boiled down to "I can do whatever I want". There was an attractive-ish teenage boy with me, and a sevenish boy who might have been my cousin or nephew or something. The teenager offered me $60 for my virginity, and I took it. The younger boy offered me $10, and when I asked what it was for he said he didn't know and took it back. Then the other guy and I wandered around my house (which was inexplicably right next to the ocean) and yard, looking for a place to fuck. My dad was putting in a second window well, and he was looking at us weird and going in and out of rooms he didn't need to be in. As the sun was setting, I tried to convince him to let us go for a swim (because apparently there was an underwater cave with a vent and when the tide was right there was a shelf of rock on one side and that's where we were going to fuck.) Before the matter could be decided one way or the other, I woke up with a deep-seated feeling of "go home subconscious you're completely wasted". Also, that was probably the only dream I've ever had that could be described as "technically" an erotic dream. (Even in my sex dreams, I can't have sex with human beings that are not me. I feel like such a loser.)

I dreamt that I was doing a quest in GTA. My boss Tony was upset about something, so I had to lie on a picnic blanket with him on the front lawn and make him feel better. How? By spooning and rubbing him, of course. While I was consoling him, I also had to protect him from all the bugs that were crawling around us. Eventually, he calmed down a bit, and the quest ended with me taking him to my house and putting him to bed.

I had a dream last night. In my dream, people lived in a futuristic world with advanced technology. The technology was so advanced, that we never had to work, machines did it for us. At the same time, we had luxuries in great excess of what we have today. Life was literally all play and no work.

These advances in technology did not come through our own ingenuity and intelligence. Instead, it was the product of an intellectually superior race, the dildocorns. The dildocorns were humanoid creatures, same height, weight, etc. The only difference between them and humans was that they had a horn on their head that was essentially a dildo.

The dildocorns came to our planet and began sharing their technological breakthroughs with us. Humans were polite to them at first because we were receiving so many advances that revolutionized medicine, labor, and the economy. Over time though, people started to be mean to the dildocorns. They were different. They were freaks. People quickly forgot all the great citizens of dildopia did for us. Assaults against dildocorns were common. As was legislation limiting their rights and equality. It was sad.

In spite of all of this, I just could not figure out the hatred people had for the dildocorns. I found myself hanging with them far more than regular people. They were nice, intelligent, and friendly, and it broke my heart that people could be so mean to them.

At this point, my alarm went off and I went to class...

Once the contract was done he would dip the neck stump in root hormone, stick it in a flowerpot, and wait a couple months for the heads to grow new bodies. These new bodies were the same as the old ones, but better (healthier/prettier/etc), except that they spread seeds and pollen instead of reproducing normally.

Yeah, which is why it was embarrassing. He doesn't know I like him and he just got out of a horrendously unhealthy relationship, so the fact that my subconscious went "this is the correct time and place for SEXAH TIEMS" bothers me. Maybe I'm just overthinking it.

Part of one of my dreams last night involved my mother bringing home a giant hornet. The size of a small dog. I was terrified and she thought it was perfectly normal. It flew off into the house and the rest of the dream was me being incredibly scared, wondering where the fuck it is.

In my dream last night, there was a giant naked woman (50 times our size) standing before myself and a few forumites. We wanted to get milk from her breasts, so someone shoved a giant needle into one of her nipples. That didn't do the trick though, so someone else smacked her other breast sideways. Apparently that was the magic touch she needed, because milk came flooding out of both breasts, leaving almost everyone satisfied. I awoke before it could soak me, thankfully.

I can't remember the rest, other than sometimes I dream about amusement parks that are either in a miserable state or closed (and gone). A part of this could be explained by melancholy feelings over the fact that Six Flags Astroworld doesn't exist anymore.

In this dream, there was a log ride that was closed, even closed off with warning signs on the water in and surrounding the ride being poisonous, notably by something with a Japanese-sounding name. The signs even included pamphlets with graphic images on the effects of water that has the same poison mentioned, like one woman whose one hand dissolved and had to be amputated.

I actually remembered a dream for once! This was written just after I got up so forgive the rambly nature (and lack of paragraph breaks):

I had a dream where I was driving in a big city (LA?) that I've never actually been to before but I was sitting in the passenger seat controlling the car with a handheld games console (DS?). I was doing pretty well until suddenly I wasn't, and I somehow ended up going down the wrong way of a one way street even though I had been driving really well before. I got pulled over by the police (after passing two cars the wrong way and swerving awkwardly!) and they started to ask me questions. There were four of them. I was panicked because it was the first time I've been to that city and I was a new driver and all by myself and I repeatedly started to cry, but one of the officers (a woman, I remember) kept telling me it was alright while her colleagues charged me with a ton of ridiculous things – like attempting to pick up a prostitute because I had stopped and reversed at a certain corner, even though I hadn't gotten out of the car at any point. That's the only charge (apart from reckless driving) that I can actually recall, but they were mostly even more ridiculous than that. They made like they were going to let me go and then handcuffed me, but the chain on the cuffs was really long and they were attached by a simple clip that would have been laughably easy to get out of, for some reason I didn't try though. After that point, I was brought to a big, famous movie studio, though I recall not recognizing the logo. Inside and through a bunch of hallways there was a giant fancy restaurant. I remember wondering what I was doing here. I was sat down at a table with one of the officers, a few famous actors (who?) and a mildly overweight guy I assumed was a studio exec. It turned out they wanted me for a movie they were making but didn't want to pay anything so they were trying to blackmail me into doing it for free. That's when I woke up. What.

I had this dream last night where godzilla attacked and I was constantly trying to evade him.

Somehow I ended up in a massive warehouse where I kept knocking shelves over to trip him up, and I tipped over a massive bargain bin the size of a lorry filled with footballs and Godzilla just went skidding across the floor.

There was this also really weird bit where I was with a group of people and Godzilla was so close that we could see his big eye looking through a hole in the wall.

Because he was too close to run from I said "Everyone stand still, it can't see you if you don't move!"

Everyone stood still, but then I realised that the standing still thing was actually the advice from Jurassic Park for T-Rex's and not applicable to Godzilla, and I was like "Oh shit, I think i've made a terrible mistake and we should probably start running now."

But then I thought that Godzilla was sort of like a T-Rex, and maybe standing still would work, so I told everyone just to wait for a while to see if he left.

So, if Godzilla ever attacks in real life, don't take advice from me, because I will probably get you killed.

But for a detail or three, that is identical to a recurring nightmare I had as a school girl. It was a 200 foot tall T-rex, not Godzilla, and it always was able to track down  - me! :o - wherever I ran and hid with the other kids. So they would shove me out of the hiding place so I had to run off alone. I always woke up screaming before it could grab me.

I dreamt that I was on an episode of Whose Line, only it was being filmed in a stadium with a football field and a track surrounding it. We started with a game similar to Party Quirks, and I was supposed to be George of the Jungle. I was having trouble doing any sound effects though, and my voice gave out towards the end. After that, I ran laps around the track with Ryan, Colin, and a third mystery man. He turned out to be FDR. Yeah. We had dollar bills stuffed in our pants to make the whole thing more entertaining, and I found several more lying on the track that I gave to Roosevelt. Eventually when we were finished running, Colin motorboated me to get the sweat off his face.

Actually, the "Don't move! He can't see us if we don't move!" strategy wouldn't work on a real T. rex. Its eye sockets are much larger than normal for an animal of its size and their orientation relative to the snout allowed binocular vision. CT scans of its braincase also show well-developed optic lobes.

Even then, it's not like it couldn't hear or smell you.

I fell asleep watching lacross (I don't know much about it, but I was curious) and dreamt I was watching a strange game called Solar Ball.  Basically, it was a cross between lacross, field hockey, soccer, and kick ball.  Benches for each team were located on opposite sides of the field, rather than on the sidelines, and the goals were located in the center of the field, about a foot apart, with each goalie facing his bench.

The game would start with a the ball (similar to the ones used in kick ball) located between the goals.  When the whistle was blown, members from both teams (4 or 5 players of each team, which consisted of about a dozen players) raced to the center to get the ball.  Once they had the ball, they fought to get it into their opponents' goal.

Let's see if I can remember the rules correctly.  You could touch the ball with any part of your body and even hold it, but if the ball touched the ground, the last player to touch it was sent back to his bench and replaced by a teammate, leaving his team short a player during that time period.  The only exception is if the ball entered the goal circle before it touched the ground (For example, if it bounced off the post or the goalie deflected it).  Also, you could touch your opponent to get the ball, but if the referees determined you were being too rough (punching, kicking, kneeing, elbowing, body slamming, etc.), you were automatically roatated out, but your team couldn't replace you for a set time (like a minute).  For severe penalties, you could be out for an entire Round (when one team rotated all its members once) or even an entire game.  (At one point, a player got thrown our for tossing his opponent into the crowd.)  This left a few tactics open, as long as the referees didn't think their were too brutal.  You could throw the ball at the opponent, and if it hit him and then the ground, the opponent would be forced out.  However, if the refs determined your throw could injure the him, your got slapped with a penalty.  After three rounds, whoever scored the most goals won.

It was a rather strange game, and in retrospect, I noticed a few problems.  First, it seemed too easy to just hold the ball and run around until you're tackled.  Then again, tossing it to a teammate to prevent losing it on a tackle would help.  Second, if both teams were really good at keeping the ball off the ground, then a round could last for hours.

Still, it was an interesting game.

Two nights ago:

I was a son of a Black revolutionary figure (more like Martin Luther King and less of the early Nelson Mandela). My father was sent into exile and it was just me, my mother and sister. One day, someone came knocking at our door. The man knocking got shot and killed by a White-supremacist and they were coming after us, firing at every direction conceivable. When then got kidnapped, but I came to the seat of the driver and bashed his head while I could into unconsciousness, leading to the vehicle to steer off track and land somewhere. We all three survived and kept running until the search team lost us. We kept running, looking for shelter until a kind man and his wife lead us into his house.

There was no more afterward, as I had woken up at that point.

I don't remember the subject of the dream I had last night but one image stayed with me when I woke up:

I am looking down on a wooden coffin. It is open and inside lays a deceased woman wrapped tightly in a white shroud so that only her face is visible. Her body from head to toe is covered in brightly colored flowers of all sorts. The flowers around her head are arranged to look like a halo and the flower over her heart is a large sunflower. She looks peaceful and her pale skin contrasts the bright lively flowers all around her.

Well, I had the worst dream ever. I was dating Michael Jackson, and in addition to his other wonderful traits, he was also a murderer. I had another dream, but the only part that was really relevant was right towards the end.

I was waiting in line at the store.  Behind me was a little old lady and her husband.  They (mostly the lady) were talking about the new Maleficent movie and how it was Satanic indoctrination, talking about how Maleficent's fairy form (with the wings) was based off of a... Mormon demon or something.  Dream.

Anyways, she kept blaming Obama for it, saying this is what Obama was wanting, and in fact, that he was personally responsible for it.  Anyways, she said "Obama did this," and I lose my patience, whirl around, and say (surprisingly, not yelling) "Obama didn't do anything!"

Her eyes widened and she backed her cart away surprisingly quickly for an old lady.  Then I turn to her husband and continue my rant.  For about 5 seconds.

'Cause then my alarm went off, leaving me to ponder what the fuck just happened.

NecroNarco powers activate...

I had a doozy of a dream last night. Epic, multi-season time-travel adventure. Except I forgot the most part. Of course.

There was some sort of powerful empire or force who was appearing in multiple eras and enforced their will. It definitely didn't happen in something resembling our history, cause the Assyrians were riding on Gryphons to fight against the time-empire's zeppelins. The central characters were half a dozen people from modern day, who involuntarily time-traveled to the past and witnessed that one power vanquishing the some ancient kingdom, name beginning with A, then the Assyrian and Babylonian empires and eradicating their capitals. They were advancing further and further forward in time. (That first kingdom happened to fight against the Israelites when the time-empire crushed them.)

There was also a almost-modern-day plotline, which somehow involved a gigantic fish restaurant in Japan, which was owned by a megacorp, and I think one of the people trapped in the past was the CEO's son. They knew time-travel was a thing and even had the capability, but it was difficult and expensive to use, even for a megacorp.

Eventually things climaxed in a sort-of alternate Rome (the aesthetics were more like fantasy Egypt). The time-empire was occupying the city with golden spheres, who fired beams eradicating people from time. The characters were trying to find a solution to beat them, scheming with the pretend-collaborating Emperor. Most of Rome was depopulated when things came to a head, but somehow some device or thing the empire wanted was sacrificed or destroyed in the city, and then the time-empire retreated, with the zeppelins and spheres flying towards the horizon over the sea.

The cast of main characters changed over these events, so if this were a TV series, it would be multi-season or something.

Last night, I was apparently on holiday somewhere in Asia. I was going to some sort of museum with a bunch of people I've never met (though I think one of them was a Let's Player I occasionally watch) and I had to withdraw money from an ATM because I didn't have enough on me for the entrance fee. The only problem was that the ATM kept giving me a geography and economics quiz that I had to pass before it would let me withdraw any money. Needless to say, it pissed me off something fierce.

I feel weird as hell talking about this, but... I met my (literal) dream girl.
Her name was Marah (with an H), but I can't remember more than a few vague details of what she looked like - long dark hair, wide hips, a shy smile, and cheekbones that could slice your hand open if you touched her face. We were in her house after dark, having a(n innocent) sleepover, and I can remember feeling my stomach flip when she cuddled up to me. We were in a small library-lounge area watching a movie on her laptop, when out of the blue she turned and kissed me. Even a week later (and despite the fact that none of this happened) I can still feel her lips on mine.
I woke up (within the dream) on her couch to the sound of her dad watching the morning news and her mom making breakfast, and because my dream-self is an utter dumbass I started worrying about if and how I was going to explain my trans status. Then I woke up (for real) still worrying about it for almost five minutes before realizing that yay, it doesn't matter because, boo, she's not real. Even in my dreams, I can't catch a break.

I was petsitting for someone. Their pet was a dairy cow.

The cow went on a rampage, stomped a chicken coop flat with all the chickens inside, trampled some goats, and disemboweled herself with her horns. I had to call a livestock vet, who lived a couple houses away, for tranquilizer gun and then euthanasia because the cow was somehow still running around.

When the owner came back, she was obviously upset. She explained that this was a common behavioral issue in the breed and not my fault.

I had a dream that I was in some army, not sure which one. Parts of the dream were certainly from my time as a conscript in FDF but some bits weren't and the equipment and uniforms were all wrong. We were preparing for some kind of parade or honour guard and getting issued with old bolt action rifles just for the parade thing.

Then I went back to the barracks and the sleeping quarters (the barrack was quite accurate to my memories from the army) and there were rather good looking young women there. Then they undressed.

...And pulled out guns and knives and tried to kill me.

I have to admit that, I did not see that plot twist coming. Good one brain, you get points for being original at least.

For those of you wondering were were they hiding the weapons: Of course they did not have the guns on them, they had them on the beds hidden under the clothes they had taken off.

I got stabbed in my side but managed to wrestle a gun off one of them (wrestling with a nude, good looking, woman that was completely non-sexual? Brain, I am starting to get worried about you) and shot two of them before being left bleeding on the floor as the dream ended.

Dream, night of 20.2. to 21.2.

The first memory I can recover is how I and an archeologist were using an orbital elevator. It was small, about the size of a regular elevator, green, and was somehow moving diagonally instead of straight up. We arrived in orbit on a luxury cruiser. But then another ship appeared. It could transform into a dinosaur mecha (though it didn't) and shot down the cruiser.

The attacking cruiser was affilated with the CIS (Star Wars), and Obi-Wan arrived to investigate and neutralize that ship. It turns out I am one of his padawans, and another Padawan was coming with him.

The planet below us was sort of a Space North Korea. The planetary ruler was a tyrannical dictator. A revolution was overthrowing him, but this was mostly background though.

Obi-Wan and us eventually discovered that the planet was an old Rakata temporal research world, and one continent was absolutely covered with temporal anomalies. Some of them remains of research accidents, some were deliberate safety and security measures to contain the former. The area was separated into square cells (some just a few metres wide), and each of them existed in a different timeline. We witnessed the revolution in the city from far away twice.

The archaeologist, who had figured all this out years ago and was now guarding the facilities, gave a speech to the about twenty/thirty people who were interested in what the Rakata did here. She explained how these temporal cells worked and also revealed the prize: the Omega Bomb, a Rakata temporal WMD. Fleet-killer scale, so could have been worse, but still very relevant for the ongoing Clone War.

One group of the people present were Sith, and the presentation was interrupted by one of their companions, who suddenly collapsed. He wore a long coat, and something like mold started appearing in one spot on the coat and spread. It was clear he was deathly ill. I was trying to heal him with the Force, but the head Sith (religiopolitical disagreements be, he wasn't going to turn away help for his dying friend) directed me to the mold on his coat. I drew a modern-day pistol, and he instructed me to shoot the mold. I was unfamiliar with the pistol, and it took an agonizingly long time for me to remove the safety and press the trigger. In that time, the mold had grown to cover the entire coat (Yes, the mold was on the coat only. The man in the coat was still affected and dying. No idea)

It was clear that the man couldn't be saved anymore. I was feeling very guilty that my slowness had allowed the mold to spread. The Sith didn't say anything though. When I was down to the last bullet, he told me to instead shoot his friend in the temple, to make an end to his illness. Then Kyuubey (from PMMM) was sitting next to us. It was obvious that the Sith would make a wish for his friend to recover and live, but I didn't want another person to fall into Kyuubey's clutches. I was somehow already one of his thralls, so I asked Kyuubey instead. (I have not watched PMMM, so some things might be different in the show, like the next bit.) It was that after our grand first Wish, we could still ask further wishes. There was still a cost, though. The cost for him to be fully healed and revived I considered too high for me. I didn't say that of course. Instead I asked for him to die in peace, and Kyuubey granted that wish.

I was feeling miserable with guilt, that I was so slow with the pistol and let the mold spread, and that I was too egoistical to wish for recovery and instead went for the discount peaceful death. Then I woke up.

Like it was in this fantasy world, and I was the reincarnation of Arthur or some shit. Anyway, we entered this domain of the forest people, which was like a riverside fortress, but without water. Oh, and these elves we were bringing along were really nervous because of some war between the forest people and the elves and some shit.

And then I woke up.

That's odd. But I've had weirder, none of which I would be comfortable posting. Here's a recurring nightmare from my childhood instead! (In retrospect, it is rather silly.)

Two orange ghostly squidlike things would float out of my closet, restrain me, and take me down to where my dad's shop was. Underneath his A-frame there was a ghost that, in all honestly looked kinda like a Gengar (which was odd, as I hadn't yet seen Pokemon or played any of the games at this point). He would always tell me that I would die before I turned 21, and then start to attack me before disappearing.

So, a weird one for the recordbooks tonight, ladies, gents, and people of nontraditional gender identities! So, my buddies are in a Superhero Secert Agent Training program, and on our way back from some minor mission (no clue what, sorry), I'm chatting with my in-dream girlfriend, on the way to the cafeteria (run by a staff from the ranch I was at and my older cousin). As soon as we enter, we're confronted by Hugo Weaving, who has the powers of Agent Smith apparently, even though he's still Hugo Weaving. Apparently I embarrased him during he filming of The Matrix, somehow, which produced a viral video that recently got big again. We talk, he leaves, and on my drive home with the gf, suddenly he is sliding across the hood, Dukes of Hazzard style, there's  a clap of thunder at the same time he starts screaming, and now the gf is flying off of my hood, and Hugo is in the seat next to me. He turns to me and says "The average relationship lasts five years. You've fixated on our encounter for fifteen. You secertly want me."

Smash to black. So, yeah.

i had a dream about a month ago that still haunts me.

first off, disculpation. i know i've got a faulty brain, and i keep it in check. i try and do good, and stay calm. hell, i consider myself a nice, if unpredictable, person. ok, now for the dream.

i'm in my hometown in southern france, on the plaza where i used to play as a kid. there's some construction work being done, and there are metal palissades dressed up. i see a construction worker go behind one, and i follow. he doesn't see me. there's a hole exposing cables and pipes. it's pretty deep. i pull out my knife, and slash his throat from behind, being careful to not get blood on me. i let his exsanguinated corpse fall into the hole. "so that's what that feels like. kinda dissappointing" i say to myself. the foreman comes around with another worker as well as a lady. an investor, perhaps, or a town-hall employee. it doesn't matter. their throats are slashed and their corpses fall into the pit as well. there can be no witnesses, because people tend to hunt murderers. i fill up the hole again, hiding my deed. no witnesses, no bodies, no problem. i go to my car and drive away, my sense of curiosity sated.

i woke up in a cold sweat. it's so unlike me and my image of myself that i talked to my shrink about it. she told me not to worry unduly about it, it's just my brain trying out possibilities. although as to guess which disorder is responsible is anyone's guess.
whenever i remember that dream, i feel like crap. that's not me. or is it?

I dreamed I was in a mall.  Looking at the map, I noticed a HUGE bookstore and see what it had for books, RPG's, etc..  I called my wife, and she told me I had a $500 spending limit.  I then went from one side of the mall to the other and after what seemed like forever, I finally saw it.  The store was 2 stories tall, like a department store, and had a huge double doorway.  I could even see books I was definitely interested in right near the door.  I took a step toward the store,

and I woke up.  Honestly, I felt like I had woken up early from a sex dream!

It's funny because I just started reading HP Lovecraft's, 'The Dream Quest of Unknown Kadath,' and I kind of know how Carter feels.  Maybe I need to find some priests who'll let me use their meditation chambers so I can finish the dream and get my books!

I wouldn't worry too much about it.  I've had dreams where I was absolutely pure evil and did some horrible things.  I even enjoyed doing them in the dreams.  I told my psychiatrist about it, and she said almost the same thing yours did, as well as the fact that the dreams bothered me after I awoke into a conscious state told her that it's not something I would even consider doing in the waking world.  Besides, dreams can be interpreted pretty differently than concrete reality.

The people whose throats were cut may not have even symbolised people at all, nor the knife used to cut them.  Same with blood and your not wanting to get it on you, and your disappointment.  One thing in one persons dream can mean an entirely different thing in another's and so forth.
Think of it like a computer defragging (which is pretty much what the brain does when you get into REM), but the bits and pieces of info are being subconsciously ordered to mean *something* of sense.  Such as the mind likes to see faces in wood grain and clouds.

Well, I went on and on, didn't I?

Just goes to show you all, I'm still around. :p

If it's in your brain, it can come out in a dream.  Stuff from all the senses.  Most of my dreams are pretty vivid.  Sometimes stuff that happens in a dream, I mistakenly think happened in real life and vice versa.  'Tis the burden we vivid dreamers must bear, I suppose.

EDIT:  Which reminds me, sometimes I dream of things that happened in previous dreams and the story/events sort of continue where they left off from before.

Had a dream where I, as a Darkness host, was fighting with Saitama.  It was fun.

I had a dream where our family had a vampire roommate. Or at least I assume she was a vampire. Long dark hair and completely white skin. Kind of an emo teenager. Seemed quite harmless apart from the fact that she had a habit of drinking my blood. But apparently no one had a problem with that in my dream.

Also, in the dream I later went on a trip with my wife without our kids. I assume that the vampire was acting as a babysitter for the duration so the first thing that popped into my mind when I was waking up was that leaving a vampire (or possibly just a really pale person who does not like going outdoors during the days. ...And drinks blood for unrelated reasons.) was a REALLY bad idea.

Maybe I'm actually dragonkin.

Okay, stop laughing, I figured out the real reason: one of my characters has scales covering her body (long story) and I was writing a long section from her POV right before I fell asleep.

Last night I dreamt I was at a Clinton/Sanders debate, only the setting was more like that of a wedding. Rather than answer questions in front of the audience, they went to tables individually and talked to us. I asked Sanders what he planned to do about sex trafficking throughout the US, and he began reverse-aging before my eyes as he finally said, "We gotta do something."

I had a dream where it was still the primaries for the US election.  I was at a rally or something where Trump quit the republican race and ran for the democratic party's presidential candidate.  But Hillary beat him and John Kasich won the Republican nomination, and now it looked like Kasich was going to win the general election by a landslide.  I spent the dream yelling at Trump and calling him an idiot for thinking he'd win the democrats primary.

I had a weird dream last night.

I was back in college, except I had my dog, whom I got after college.

Also, I had a crow named Crowe.  For those who listen to The Hidden Almanac, she was basically a George; she had 4 limbs with little talons along with the usual crow wings.  And in my dream, somehow this was normal.  Nobody commented about it.  Also, she didn't fly much, preferring to climb up things.  She was very, VERY attached to me and loved to cuddle and get carried around.  She also could talk in a croaky voice, which is not normal crow behavior either, but nobody seemed to think it was at all strange.  As the dream went on, she was losing feathers.

So, I guess she was a familiar?

Also, I got sexually assaulted in my dream by some Italian guys who were very handsome but super-duper creepy.  And my mom and dad and my maid-of-honor from my IRL wedding, Marissa, all got together to help me...get therapy?  Get revenge?  It's a bit spotty.

Plus, there was a huge Catholic church.  But it was kinda-sorta Nazi?  And was hateful and slanderous toward Wiccans and LGBTQ, which also majorly pissed me off.  And like there was this huge horrible statue that was really offensive and slanderous towards a lot of people, and (among other terrible things) portrayed abortion as being exactly like Herod killing all the babies in Bethlehem.  It was gorey and nasty, and had lots of world leaders, past and present, with sadistic smiles on their faces.  And I wanted to speak out against the kind of nastiness that statue depicted, but every time I did, people hated me and shamed me and tried to forcibly convert me to their way of thinking.

And I tried and tried to leave the church by the end of Mass because the sermon was openly hateful and I couldn't stand to listen to it, but it had huge grounds and a moat and was hard to escape.  Also there was one exit that sent you instantly back into the sanctuary every time.  And my parents didn't understand why I was being so "difficult," and Crowe was looking sadder and unhealthier and balder by the minute and I wanted to protect her, and Angel looked all sweet and confused, and the random black ladies in the church were encouraging me, and I just wanted to LEAVE so badly and when I woke up it was kind of disorienting to be back at home, with my loving husband, no crow-familiar-thingy, and nobody trying to literally burn me at the stake.

I just had a dream where I was at a family dinner with Larry Niven.  He announced that Hollywood was making a big budget Ringworld movie.  I told him I was glad hollywood was making something that wasn't a remake, but admitted I wasn't a big fan and said I hoped they rework some parts of the series I thought were a little sexist.  Then he left the dinner in a huff and did a phone interview with a cooking show and complained about me.

So I had the weirdest goddamn dream last night, so I imagine most of you would know what the horrible tabletop RPG FATAL is right (if not don't look it up) so for some reason last night I dreamt that me and a few of my friends decided it was a good idea to play that game. Dream me is fucking masochist.

So last night, I dreamed about taking a piss on a slice of toast. At the time, it seemed like a perfectly normal alternative to a toilet.

Although dreams having people pissing on bread of any type may not be common there is one theme in Art's dream that is common.

Strange things feeling normal that is. I have had dreams where I live in a completely different location or am still at school but no matter how strange things are until I start waking up nothing in the dream seems off place. As far as I know this is just how things work.

I'm pretty sure I intended to, but the dream completely switched gears before I could actually do it.

It's like that for me too. Everything seems perfectly reasonable until just before I wake up, when I start to wonder that maybe riding around subway tunnels on a giant skateboard made of crumbly cement isn't a normal part of my life.

On a similar note, does anyone else tend to hear music right before a dream ends, or is it just me? I swear, half my dreams seem to end with me hearing some random song I've likely not heard or even thought about in years (or sometimes even bursting into song myself, as though I'm a Lord of the Rings character). I've not only never heard of it happening to other people, but I have heard the (quite obviously false) claim that you can't hear music in dreams quite a few times, so it'd be interesting to know.

In my dream, I was watching a movie where a man was cheating on his wife in his own home (I'm guessing she was out of town for work or something), and his little daughter (She looked between 5 and 10) saw everything.  One night, the husband and his gf were in bed and the gf tied the husband's wrists and ankles to the bed posts for a 'game,' before going into the bathroom.  The daughter then entered the bedroom, locked the gf in the bathroom, and stuffed a shirt in her father's mouth.

As the father looked at her with a WTF expression, the daughter said, "That's not Mommy."

Approaching her father, she revealed a knife and said, "Mommy showed me how to peel potatoes."

I woke up at that point.

After months of nothing but boring dreams where I'm either at work or walking through a desolate mall that's filled with nothing but clothing stores (and no book stores!), it was nice to have something interesting for a change.

I wonder if I can turn that into a short story.

I dreamt of a summer blockbuster: Steev Attacks A Giant Squid.  Steev is a normal man, until one fateful day when a giant squid destroys the cruise ship he's on and kills his wife.  Steev vows revenge, tracking the killer squid for years, undergoing brutal physical training.  In the end, he finds the squid and dives into the ocean after it with nothing but blue jeans, fists, and unyielding rage and emerges victorious.  In the sequels, Steev goes on to hunt other extreme fauna with the only weapons capable of administering his undying hatred properly: his fists.

Aah, there ya go.  That'd explain why I don't remember him, I tend to not remember actors from Star Wars that weren't Leia, Luke, or Han.

I went to a concert that supposed to be opened with Kim Kardashian singing Heaven is a Place on Earth by Belinda Carlisle, but halfway through she forgot what song she was singing and switched to Firework by Katy Perry instead. Also, I had a black friend who declared his undying love for me but tearfully accepted that I could never return his feelings.

So all in all, a fairly typical Friday night, all things considered.

And I have another one. This time, the dog learned how to use an ATM, and promptly withdrew $450 000 (that I very much don't have) out of my account. So I of course was rather miffed that I had to go down to the bank to deposit the money because apparently you can't make such a large deposit at an ATM. Also, I was especially pissed because nobody would believe me when I said that the dog did it.

And one more. I woke up (as in, dreamed I woke up, not woke up for realsies) busting for a piss. For some unknown reason, I didn't feel like walking all the way to the bathroom, so instead I took a piss on my bedroom door. I seem to be having a lot of dreams about pissing on things I really shouldn't be pissing on, lately.

Last night, I dreamed I was at a party, and a bunch of stoners were rolling joints using slices of bread instead of paper. I have to say, it sounds like exactly the sort of thing stoners would try.

A night ago, I had a weird dream about a clown who was in charge of an amusement park.

Every one of the rides or attractions had some sort of effect on those who went on them - though it seemed to depend on the person. For every good effect the rides or attractions had however there was an equally deleterious effect that was imposed.

I was observing from a third person perspective, and seemed to hear a narrator explaining everything that happened to the people in the dream.
