Every star has a planet!

Quote
Every star twinkling in the night sky plays host to at least one planet, a new study suggests.

That implies there are some 10 billion Earth-sized planets in our galaxy.

Using a technique called gravitational microlensing, an international team found a handful of exoplanets that imply the existence of billions more.

The findings were released at the 219th American Astronomical Society (AAS) meeting, alongside reports of the smallest "exoplanets" ever discovered.

This really supports the idea that somewhere out there in that cosmic abyss is another planet just like us with life (even if the life is unicellular).
That may be the single gayest thing I have ever read on this board. Or the old one. ;)

Yes, but the big question is...can we either eat or have sex with said life?

Every silver lining has a black cloud. That's equally important.
I am an old man, and I've seen many problems, most of which never happened.

That depends. If its unicellular, we'd probably turn them into a vitamin supplement a la blue green algæ.

I, personally, am looking forward to the forced mating put upon us by our new alien Overlords.

rule 34 says the sex will be tried, and probably the eating.
From international relations to religious rivalries, from marriage to athlete's foot, whatever the problem a fundy's first solution is usually violence.

Unless they use different biomolecules than use or have different stereochemistry.
