Comic relief: Sovereign citizens vs Police.
« on: December 14, 2015, 09:30:19 am »
Just to counter all the bad stuff on the net recently, people who actually deserve to get tazered getting tazered:
<a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QCozh_vbYdM" target="_blank">http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QCozh_vbYdM</a>

Funnily, in most cases they would have gotten off with a tiny fine or something if they hadn't decided to fuck with the police (and in one occasion try to flee from police pursuit) but being Sovereign "AM I BEING DETAINED!?!!" Citizens they of course make things worse for themselves...
No matter what happens, no matter what my last words may end up being, I want everyone to claim that they were:
"If you strike me down, I shall become more powerful than you could possibly imagine."
Aww, you guys rock. :)  I feel the love... and the pitchforks and torches.  Tingly!

Blame Alex Jones. And that banana DNA thing.

Found a LEO training film about these dorks. I'm good about resisting Patriot Act bullshit and view LEOs with a very wary eye, but FFS, stop antagonizing normal, non-bully cops trying to do their jobs.

I sympathize completely. However, to use against us. Let me ask you a troll. On the one who pulled it. But here's the question: where do I think it might as well have stepped out of all people would cling to a layman.

Yeah, there are a lot of stories about Sovereign citizens getting hostile on police and shooting police officers but still most comments about them on the net are about how silly they are and people don't realize how dangerous they are.

Rationalwiki has a good article on them: http://rationalwiki.org/wiki/Sovereign_citizen

Quote

Also, the term "sovereign citizen" itself hilariously reflects the oxymoron logic of the sovereign citizen movement. A quick look at the definition of the two words will show that it's impossible to be both sovereign (self-governing) and a citizen (governed). Many in the movement realize this and call themselves "sovereign individuals" or mention their "sovereign rights" instead. However, they still don't wholly reject the law and government authority enough. Thus they are not genuinely worthy of that title.

"If you strike me down, I shall become more powerful than you could possibly imagine."

Wonder what would happen if every Sovereign Citizen ended up on an unknown island somewhere.

Guy gets arrested for driving without a license.
Female passenger insists that they are "free inhabitants" and are exempt from the law.
Woman refuses to cooperate with the officer and gets her dumbass arrested for obstruction.
Tries to accuse the officer of raping her while being handcuffed.
Continues to throw tantrum while guy getting arrested does nothing. Probably due to embarrassment.

...probably would be a good reason to start getting concerned about government abuse of power at that point.

Unless you mean they just got magically transported there and they have to rebuild civilization, which is definitely something I'd pay to watch.

I had to turn down the volume. Her screeching was making me laugh and want to gag her at the same time.
