Famed literary author Maya Angelou has passed away at age 86. Here is one article about her. (http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/usanow/2014/05/28/maya-angelou-dies-at-age-86/9663497/)
I started the thread in this section because I think her works made an impact with society and history than just entertainment. If it still doesn't qualify, I wouldn't get mad at the moderators for moving it.
Still, you will be missed, Maya Angelou. You were one of the greats of our time.

The caged bird is free.
Rest in peace, Miss Angelou

I was going to say the same.
RIP, Maya, may you fly free in eternity!

I know she did a book signing in Dallas TX back in 2011. Now I wish I got to meet and greet her myself. Goes to show to not take moments like that for granted.
