I don't agree with much of his politics but every now and then he does have smart ideas. Reading through his political positions is pretty much "no, no, yes, NOOO!, yes, maybe, no,..."

Ron Paul is probably the poster child for this. Rand is too, to a lesser extent. He's right about the drone strike policy and the Patriot Act, but goes way off the deep end on many other issues.

The NRA.  I'm pro gun, but I'm not a fan of the NRA.  I think they represent the interests of gun manufacturers rather than gun owners.  However, I do appreciate the fact that they teach gun safety.

Israel in general. I don't support theocracies that try to do Apartheid 2: Electric Boogaloo, but at least their military isn't sexist.
