Working on getting a development environment set up for my old Minecraft mod I was planning a while back.  If nothing else, it'll give me something to do before my allotted class time that isn't idly staring off into space or checking the same five or so sites repeatedly.  Doesn't hurt that I found an IDE for Java that, apparently, isn't half as irritating or slow as Eclipse.

We played the "choose your own adventure" game almost all day at work again, and I ended the story on a positive note. Also, a few of the parts for my planned gaming PC arrived today. It will soon be complete!

I think I finally took care of the magpie problem. I left out a bit of dog food mixed with some high strength insecticide (only where I'm certain the dogs can't get it, naturally) throughout the day and suddenly the little fuckers aren't waking me up at 6 am any more. I'm just extremely annoyed that I didn't think of this sooner.

I made sushi today!  Part of it went toward my lunch for school this Thursday, but...damn, is this shit good!  I dunno what it is, but the sushi rice recipe I found (c/o Google) made the most flavourful sushi rice I've ever tasted.  Its not bland, boring, and almost totally tasteless, it actually has a sweet, smooth, somewhat vinegary flavour.  Combined with the celery, avocado, and cream cheese I put into the rolls, this has to be some of the best sushi I've had in a while.

The marquee next to our local memorial (AKA, government owned property) that was constantly having religious bullshit put on it (AKA, a violation of the separation of church and state) was outright removed today.

I think people were lodging complaints.

Admittedly, the sushi I had most recently was somewhat overpowered by the other things I had at the time, so my memory may be a bit off.  Other than that, its been a very, VERY long time since I've had sushi, be it homemade, at a restaurant, or store bought.
