Maybe we should put up maybe some of the nastier anarchist riots in the US for those turn-of-the century marks.  For the 60’s, take it to 1968 at the Democratic National Convention.

Love the shamelessness of using the exact same picture with different filters.

I should do a rebuttal

Picture of Ancient Nubia, Egypt, Timbuktu or whatever...."AFRICA 2000 YEARS AGO" followed by that mud hut picture that says "NORTHWEST EUROPE 2000 YEARS AGO". I could also show a really cool Ancient China scene in Africa's place.

I could show a beautiful, exotic Medieval Mid-East city scene....."THE ISLAMIC MID-EAST CIRCA 1000 CE" followed by a picture of a filthy, bubonic plague-ridden disaster area that reads "EUROPE CIRCA 1000 CE".
