The good news: I no longer have a headache. The bad news: now that my headache is gone, I can turn my full attention to my sore feet. The worse news: in the past year or so my arches have gone from "mostly normal" to "lol ground i love you 5ever".

I tried to do a system restore, it failed but somehow I ended up getting wireless functionality back, so I'm just going to assume it's fixed. Computers are weird.

I had that happen to me not too long ago.  Tech support said it may have been my DNS was dropped or something.   I don't know.    I didn't used to be so clueless when it comes to compies, but now... fwooosh over my head.

I worked for over two months on a modpack for my server, tweaking configs, gathering permissions, creating MineTweaker/ModTweaker scripts, and released it to the server's regulars asking for feedback when they get the chance.  Only to have the server admin, about two days ago, create a modpack of his own, highjacking the conversation I started for my pack, a pack that looks the world like an "everything and the kitchen sink" pack, and he gets fucking feedback.  The motherfucking thing I laboured for months to get working, to balance...and I'll bet you anything that it'll be for fucking nothing, now.

The admin of my grad school's mailing list is a fucking idiot. I just seemed to get a notification that some 3000€ were wired off my bank account... except that after my heart started beating again, I noticed that it's not about my account, but the school's. The bank sent the notification to the mailing list.

This is not the first time something like this happened. The mailing list has regularly distributed all sorts of spam for years, so I had it blacklisted anyway. I found this in the spam folder.


Edit: Though this reminds me of the time someone hacked the university (not the 40-student grad school, the 30000-student university) mailbox and resent the invitation to the Christmas Ball... enhanced by some suggestive sentences and a link to an escort service. Good times. (I didn't read it anyway.)
