So I checked back to Liberal Logic 101 if they still have the post and image and lo and behold, it's gone.
Me: So, what's your take on the whole incandescent light bulb situation right now?Conservatoons: I think the market should decide. I like them. The others are very expensive up front so if they break or don't work you loose. Also sometimes you want the heat w/ the light. Frankly, lighting is one of the least drains of elect. It is like tuning up an old car. Yeah it helps but it really doesn't make much diff. Space heating, motors, AC, are the real consumers of residential power.Me: I see, I've been seeing a lot of people outraged about this, but this was something they should have seen coming back in 2007. However, who knows what will come up in regards to it.Conservatoons: We could always allow them again. Sadly, the jobs are gone and plants moved. It cost companies a lot of money to shift away from incandescent quicker than market forces wanted. Mostly I just don't think govt has that right. Obama has proved me wrong. Not only can it kill normal light bulbs. It can steal whole car companies and force citizens to buy health insurance - without guaranteeing health care. Some world these days.Me: As I said before, we should have seen this coming. Are you familiar with the Energy Security and Independence Act??Conservatoons: Vaguely.
