In case you are interested, and would not mind being involved in some forum-based roleplay, I'm on role play forum. It's called, as indicated by the title, the Mulitiversal Roleplay Forum (http://multiversalroleplay.forumotion.com/). I, honestly, would love to see you over there. We've even just got a zombie apocalypse rp going, and the shit just hit the fan.
-
Sounds like the same premise as Neo's. It's tough to say, because I can't see any actual RPs. Do you have topics hidden to non-users? Bad idea. If you want members, you need to show them that you have something that they would be interested in.
-
What Lithp said. You don't have to show them every single area of the forum, just enough to get a general idea of what's in store instead of forcing them to make an account just to look around. Like the setup we have on this forum.
If I could see more, I might end up joining. As it is, I'm hesitant.

All righty. that's been changed. How did you figure out I ran it?

We didn't. You just told us.

Both Lithp, and Booker seemed to think I ran it.
-
Because staff are usually the ones who do the advertising unless the members really, really like the place.
-
I didn't actually say that you ran it, I was using the "royal you," & assumed that anyone I spoke to would just pass the message along to the relevant party. That said, I did have a suspicion, because of what Booker just said.
Looks like it's got some potential, but I probably won't get involved, because like I said, it's pretty much what I do at Neo's, which takes up a lot of my time. Sorry, but best of luck, & let me know if there's anything I can do to help. I do know it's difficult to keep small forums afloat.

S'all right Lilthp. Just trying to see if there are interested parties. We could use more folks. More people means more ideas, and more characters.

Asking for ya'll's help now.
My character has a higher-than-average IQ, and is a bit of a prodigy, so has been in college since age fourteen. She is also a crazy-prepared zombie apocalypse prepper. What subjects, do you think, somebody who's thinks that science could easily create a Zombie Apocalypse would study?

Biology. Microbiology. Biochemistry.

Forensic science, engineering?
-
Less on forensic science, more on engineering. Maybe. They'd be more into microbiology and whatever studies fungus and ants.
-
Medical sciences as well. Virology or whatever it is that studies how diseases spread. After all real world organisations while doing scenarios on how an epidemic might spread have used zombies as a scenario. (Because if you use a fictional scenario people are more likely to think outside the box and inter-organisation rivalries are less likely to occur for some reason as well.)
-
Depends on what their overall goal is.

Epidemiology is awesome.
-
It makes me so angry that things like that exist.

Like I said, those fictional scenarios are good training for people who study epidemology.
-
I just don't see why we as a society insist on acting like zombies are any more significant than any other impossible scenario dreamed up in the Land of Make-Believe.
