Seriously?  The death penalty for disrespecting your parents?   Well it would be a good way to reduce the population, but how the hell can idiots like this even get on the ballot?  Shouldn't they be put up in a state mental institution?

I wonder if anyone actually ever used that killing your own children for being disrespectful rule. I am sure that by now in those crazier segments of the world we would have surely come across a story about it. my guess is that most parents realize that that passage in the religious texts is a load of horse manure and ignore it. However, given quiverful and other fringe fundamentalist groups, I am surprised we haven't come across it. Surely there must be someone crazy enough to take it literally? Other than this guy of course.

Well, I know what happened to him, but you know what I mean. I'll end this all by saying that I owe Mr. Fuqua all of the gratitude in the world. His book is the light that will lead this country into a new golden era. I only wish my last child would have lived to have seen this glorious future - I did warn her not to look at me that way again though.

On topic: why, why, why are so many assholes in a conservative-off competition? It's like they think whoever's most conservative will win, even if their positions are sociopathically insane. I'm reminded of the Grimm fairytale of the three lazy sons, with the one winning claiming he was so lazy that he'd rather hang then lift his arm to cut the rope hanging him.
