Ricin tainted letter sent to Senator

Several senators and outside reports indicate the letter was intercepted in the screening process at the Capitol mail facility and the letter never made it to the Capitol.
Senators happened to be in a closed briefing on the investigation of Monday’s bombing at the Boston Marathon when the news of the contaminated letter broke. Senators were then informed of the letter, although they said the briefing did not include the identity of the senator to which the letter was sent. Multiple senators said the letter itself was discovered at a screening facility before ever reaching the Capitol complex itself.

...looks like we'd best buckle up, it's gonna be a shitstorm in the coming days as the whackos come out of the woodwork. I remember how after Eric Robert Rudolph bombed the Olympic Park in Atlanta, the crazies came out of the woodwork, and somehow, I think we're gonna see more of the same in the coming days.

It's like a duelling banjos of crazy, with people trying to outdo each other in some duel over which side is more batshit insane.

Like someone mentioned aboved, the Anthrax 2001 scare came right after 9/11 but they actually had nothing to do with one another.  This could be the same case.
