So, I've been watching the premiere... and I'm liking what I'm seeing so far.  Any thoughts from anybody else?

I haven't seen it, but I do know that the guy who invented the Dothraki language for Game of Thrones made like 3 languages for Defiance.

I watched it last night. Both the first showing and the encore presentation.
I like what i saw. Yes, there were the standard tropes. But that was off set by the characters and the great acting. I'm curious to see where they go over the course of the season.

it is, TGR.  I'm not terribly wild about the game, but I'm enjoying the series, as long as it doesn't veer too far into drama.

To me, it was giving off Firefly and Farscape vibes, with a smidge of Eureka thrown in.  My roommate kept yelling at me every time I made a comparison :3
