Those clever, clever bastards...its like GTA IV was a practice act, testing new technology and concepts, and this is the game they wanted to make out of it all. The fact that it looks like its in San Andreas only serves to make it even more awesome...because GTA:SA is still my favorite Grand Theft Auto of all time.
Also, I think I know why my Technic maps keep hitting the, as I call it, Lag Point...the point where all my facilities begin to lag the game to nigh-unplayability. With each map, I game the system more and more...I exploit holes in things like Equivalent Exchange, IC2, and BuildCraft, and warp them in such a way that I can easily achieve anything I want, with just a few minutes' work.
Think I might just shut off my machines in my current base, fill up some lapotrons/blulectric batteries, grab some of my more important things like my rotary macerators and singularity compressor, stuff a few extra goodies into an alchemy bag or four, and just...start anew somewhere else. This time, at least trying to not exploit every hole I see in the mods.
Still not using ThaumCraft, though. Seriously, what's the point? Almost anything it can do, the other mods can do, and they can either do it better, more easily, or many times, both. I don't need magic, just the raw, fierce marriage of alchemy and high technology.
