2. In response to the whole abolish abortion bs, first off it's impossible, you can make it illegal, but you can't "abolish" it. It'll always exist in one form or another. Second, so it's ok to perform abortion on other critters, but not on "humans"? What about human/critter hybrids??

AFAIK, the Mongol invasions had a much bigger impact on the disparity between Europe and the Middle East, since Genghis Khan devastated the Middle East but died before getting farther west than Poland.
