Somalia is like surface Rapture.
Excuse me, sir, do you have a minute to talk about your lord and savior, Hannibal Barca?

Yeah, if the pagans are so smart, why did Jesus invade Pagan-land on the back of a dragon and kill them all!

Now, in fairness, Condi is the only respectable woman named.  However, that doesn't excuse the blatantly misogynistic things that have been said about conservative women.  I don't like Robert Mugabe, but you don't hear me using the "N-Word" to describe him.

To be fair, Somaliland is stable, Somalia fell into civil war after the collapse of a socialist government, and Objectivists aren't against all government and advocate basic law and order services. Of course, who's going to be a police detective when everyone in society is either a genius businessman and inventor allowed to roam free or a rightfully stomped-upon mediocrity isn't clear and never seems to be explained. It's almost like Atlas Shrugged is a wild oversimplification and you'd be a fucking moron to think it's an accurate depiction of society or real life.

It should also be noted that the creators of Bioshock don't like communism or jingoism either.

It's possible that one or two liberals may have said something in passing that could be interpreted as unreasonable once or twice. Do they routinely call conservative women traitors without justification? Or whores? Sluts? Is that a political strategy? It is for the right.

This is a stupid cartoon. There's a difference between the usual rough-and-tumble of politics and a dedicated slanderous campaign of sexist lies.

It'd be a bit silly to suggest that Somalia's situation can be explained by its prior developmental state. It'd also be just untrue to suggest that Somaliland has been made safe under any kind of system Randroids would be happy with.

Atlas Shrugged is a wild oversimplification the same way that the Protocols of the Elders of Zion is - it isn't. It's a lunatic and inaccurate attempt to shift blame for all ill on the victims of that ill and to give all credit for success on the people who tried to stop it.

While you do have a point, it does happen a lot more than "once or twice."  A lot of liberals, pundits or otherwise, can come across just as misogynistic as the Republicans, using degrading language towards Ann Coulter and Sarah Palin.

That being said, it's nowhere NEAR the level of misogyny and chauvinism that goes on in the Republican party right now, who only base women's importance on their beauty and little else.

I agree, the GOP has more than its share of misogynists as well.

Again, I think this is totally different. People get angry at conservative professional trolls because that's their job. If they occasionally let themselves go, that's understandable - though, of course, I agree they should be chided for doing so the rare times is actually occurs. If anything liberals are far too tolerant of this scum.

What isn't acceptable, of course, is the routine, deliberate and dishonest use of sexist language to de-legitimise the views of liberal women by the right.

They're fuckin full of misogynists.

I believe just recently they had that person who wanted to legalize martial rape, not to mention the fact they've voted against both the equal pay act and the violence against women act.

Martial rape or marital rape? There is a difference.

EDIT:

Of course God uses british slang. After all, doesn't everyone know that the King James version of the bible is the one true bible so why on Earth would he use yankee english?
