I tend to just ignore it. I suppose if I was dating someone I would probably care more though.

I love Valentine's Day, even if I'm single. Why? Because of these:

And any excuse to throw a dinner party is fine by me.
That may be the single gayest thing I have ever read on this board. Or the old one. ;)

Her3tik, you have groupies.

There are a number of ways, though my favourite is simply to take them by surprise. They're just walking down the street, minding their own business when suddenly, WHACK! Penis to the face.

I am so glad I'm not the only one who had that thought. Exalts for both of you.

Like others said, I never cared for the day until I had someone to share it with. I used to absolutely dread the day in high school, where I would see all the cutesy couples parading around, some of the guys getting into a competition to see who could prove their love the best by buying the most expensive gifts. That really made me angry -- people treating it like some sort of contest. But mostly, I was bitter that I was single.
Guys, this is getting creepy. Can we talk about cannibalism instead?

One of the things I love about this holiday: conversation hearts. I heard that Necco is going back to the original recipe. I am so excited.

I'll have to admit, my wife and I like Valentine's Day to an extent.  And actually, we got married as close to the day as possible (12th.)  That was 35 years ago.  We don't buy gifts for each other for either our anniversary or V-Day (or birthdays or Christmas, either, for that matter,) but we'll usually go out to dinner.  We'll most of the time go to an Italian restaurant near us which has a couple of Valentine's Day specials complete with a glass of champagne.  Really good food for a really good price.

But , yeah, if you really love someone, Valentine's Day does normally have a special meaning.  But, then, I guess I'm sort of a romantic.

Meh. I view it in much the same way as I view Hanukkah; I'm sure it's lovely for all those involved, but I am not one of those people.

Having never been in a relationship or sent/recieved cards or gifts and the like, it holds just as much practical significance as any other day.

Eh, I ignore it. Let the lovers have a day for themselves. I'll be busy playing my MASS EFFECT 3 DEMO!

Playing Crusader Kings II that day.
I’ve grown overfed, unconcerned and comfortably numb
Kept busy indulging in the pleasures of the wealthy
Oh, someone make me afraid of what I’ve become!
