The fact you can see other "rioters" in the background indicates the cartoonist believes the protests in ferguson are actually riots.

Plus I think thus guy is fairly right wing.

There are looters in Ferguson.  Their activities are exaggerated, and they're mistakenly conflated with the protestors, but they do exist.

And there's nothing inherently wrong with being right-wing.

No one is denying that they exist.  He was stating that they were depicting protestors as looters in the picture.

And I wish I could believe that last sentence.
Mockery of ideas you don't comprehend or understand is the surest mark of unintelligence.

Even the worst union is better than the best Walmart.

All I see are a bunch of looters.  I don't see anybody carrying signs.

Exactly.
You missed my point.  And since the protestors have been a good defense against the looters, it makes sense that they'd choose a place where neither they nor the police are nearby.

That could also mean the author thinks ferguson is non-stop riots the police can't control.

You know what, let's split the difference and just say you're right.

Sounds fair.

No matter what happens, no matter what my last words may end up being, I want everyone to claim that they were:

Not sure if that qualifies as "best" or "cartoon". I could've made that in less than 5 minutes.
Consumption is not a politically combative act — refraining from consumption even less so.

Would you rather have something covered in labels?

Being able to tell a message with a simple piece of art is a great accomplishment.

Would you rather have something covered in labels?
...And being forced to use labels on every goddamn thing to get their message across is a sign of a very bad political cartoonist. SOMETIMES labels are necessary but usually there are better ways to get the message across.

EDIT:

Bors made a simple joke about how media has a habit of victim blaming young black males in particular when they are killed while white spree shooters are pitied. Then this happened:

Comment from the cartoonist: "I attempt to do satire, I really do."
