I think this is currently my favorite Thrice song.

Edit: changed to a link, embedding wasn't working for some reason.

Kept busy indulging in the pleasures of the wealthy
Oh, someone make me afraid of what I’ve become!

I love demos, especially when they're nothing like the final version. In this case, it's Pussy, but taking itself completely seriously rather than tongue-in-cheek and being a much slower song.

This time, I'm going to do what 'That Guy' (our forum's Punk Rock aficionado) does: post the cover art of the album I'm listening to instead of post a You Tube "video" of the song I'm listening to (currently, it's 'Mysterious Semblance at the Strand of Nightmares') because I doubt there is a You Tube link to the song mentioned.

Oh ye of little faith. Everything is on Youtube.

That said, Vitamin Records is a label that seemingly specializes in tribute/cover albums, most of which sucked. Then they hired a string quartet. The Vitamin String Quartet tributes are some of the most amazing things I've ever heard, and they don't really care which genre the music is from. Right now, I'm listening to their Disturbed tribute album. Some albums also have a "in the style of", and it's mind blowing how well they they do that. For example, the Marilyn Manson album has the original composition "Armageddon For Our Time", and it sounds like something John 5, Twiggy and Manson would have written that has been turned into a String Quartet version, rather than an original composition on it's own. Additionally, their cover of Nine Inch Nails' "The Fragile" is even more beautiful than the original, and the original is one of my all-time favorite songs (which is partially because I swear, if I didn't know better, I'd suggest Trent Reznor time traveled to the future and spied on my life). Oh, and they have a David Bowie one.

There's also another label's String Tribute Players, who have some overlap with the VSQ (Manson, Disturbed and a few others) and some ones VSQ hasn't done (like Otep). Their compositions are also pretty good, and different from the other ones.
