A boy by the name of Aitzaz Hasan gave his life so that a suicide bomber would not kill his classmates
Aitzaz Hasan, 15, was with friends outside school when they spotted a man wearing a suicide vest.
Despite the pleas of his fellow students, he decided to confront and capture the bomber who then detonated his vest, his cousin told the BBC.
Aitzaz is being hailed as a hero in an outpouring of praise on social media.

He ought to be buried with full military honors.

Give that kid a medal!

Give that kid a medal!
Agreed. Specifically, the Nishan-i-Haider (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nishan-i-Haider), Pakistan's highest military honor.

A truer martyr than the terrorist fucker who killed him. If there's a heaven, this kid is having the time of his afterlife.

Fare thee well, Aitezaz Hussain. ;_;7

I hate to be the cynic here, but how long do you think it will be before fundies and right-wingnuts over here say that his sacrifice was meaningless because he (probably) wasn't a Christian?
Seriously, though, good on him. If more people had that kind of courage, the world would be in a lot better shape.

Cynicism is overrated.

I will be honest, I wouldn't have the courage to do what he did.
It just occurred to me after reading your comment as to just how enormously brave he was. I have the utmost respect for that child. In so many ways, things like military honors and such, dont even come close to measuring up to how amazing the act and sacrifice of that child is. I am simply astounded.
