I just watched a Facebook discussion devolve from talking about Black Friday being imported up here & how everyone feels about it into three sisters arguing over their deep-seated personal resentment towards each other. It's surreal.

Meanwhile, we're importing the much nobler tradition of Cyber Monday (nobler, in that it results in far less stampeding and trampling).

I thought there's been a Cyber Monday in the US for a while, though we don't broadcast it or announce it as any particularly special day.  Just loads of peeps shop online for sales and stuff instead of at stores.

EDIT:  Oh god, I said "peeps".

I love Cyber Monday. I can stay warm and safe in my house and never need to leave it to get what I ordered.

I occasionally get emails from UK companies promoting Cyber Monday sales, which I just find bizarre.

That's one DLC that I don't think I could ever take the Renegade option for....

There's a running thing in the mass effect fandom how even the most hardass of renegades take the paragon option in Overlord.

Yeah, I'm not surprised.

Yeah, I'm not surprised.
It's like the "hug Tali" interrupt: nobody, not even the most dedicated of renegades, declines the opportunity to hold her and tell her she's not responsible for her father's crimes. Just like how everybody guts Kai Lame in 3.

First time through any game which has multiple paths and choices I always take the most non-evil path I can.  Then when I try to do my next playthrough as an evil character, I just... the closest I've ever come is semi-apathetic anti-hero-that-will-soon-turn-full-hero.

I think it's all the Doctor Who I read and watched growing up.  I can't think of any other character that could have influenced me that much.

Got the Doc inside... Can't help it.  Something always pulls me to do the right thing... or at least the closest thing to the right thing as possible.

I tried doing an evil run through Jade Empire back a few years ago... Got as far as the Tea House with Old Mother Quan's problem with Three-Sheets Dutong scamming her out of her business... Hell no.  Nobody hurts a nice old lady while I'm around.  Suddenly heal-toe turn... Allon-sy!   And that was the end of my evil run.

Haven't completed one ever.

EDIT:  Same with the KoToR and Fable games...
