Title: 12.7mm (0.5" for you Yanks)
Post by: Canadian Mojo on May 23, 2012, 03:58:45 pm
This is just stupid.

In the comments, it comes out that the principal said her dress is literally about the thickness of your thumb too high.

Is it just me or does it seem like he spent way too much time staring at her legs in order to notice that?

First comment makes me rage.  Other comments make me not rage.

Ironbite-also...the fuck is wrong with people?

Oh noz, nearly 1.3 centimeters too short. The world is over.

For those too lazy to read the article, this is the outfit:

Oh, yeah, we had a dress code like this at my old junior high. It's actually the same dress code in all the schools I've been to, but they each enforce it differently. Once a friend of mine was stopped in the hallway by a teacher she doesn't even have for wearing an outfit which was basically just like the one above. Meanwhile, a girl in a miniskirt walked by without a problem, because her mom is a sycophantic bitch with no life was a prominent member of the school's PTSA at the time. What's really ridiculous about the dress coed in general is that it's stricter for girls than it is for guys. For instance, it's basically impossible for girls to get away with wearing tank tops or showing their shoulders, but guys can wear ripped-up jerseys that I can basically see their whole chest through. A teacher said that the reason for this was that guys just can't help getting boners every time a woman shows her shoulders and knees, so we have to cover up for their sake. ::)

My school now has the same dress code but never really enforces it. In fact, it's more common for girls to wear thick parkas on top... and miniskirts without tights below. Also, for some reason it's trendy for girls to bring fleece blankets to school with them and act all cutesy with them when boys are around.

The junior high I attended had similar rules about spaghetti strap tank tops, though the guys weren't allowed to bare their shoulders either. Crop tops were a big no-no. I think skirts had to be mid-thigh or lower.

I can't remember what the rules were in high school. Weirdly, my elementary school was okay with girls wearing cropped tops and tanks.

because on little girls, crop tops and tanks are cute.  Not sexy.

Ironbite-unless you're a pedophile.

This is...wow. The young lady in the picture looks perfectly presentable. If the girls in my high school had dressed this well, I would have been happy. No stomach showing, her shoulders are covered, no thigh is seen, and she'd adorable to boot.

Actually, the girl looks outright conservative in appearance.

Wow.  Girls at my schools wore half that and the schools didn't do anything.

That's like overly modest clothing.  The staff are nitwits if they think that's inappropriate.

I just want to say, I knew what 12.7mm was because of my love for firearms. In this case, the 12.7×99mm (.50 BMG) round. :P

That said, I think someone's got a bug up their ass with this story.
