Quite conveniently, that torture mission was the last one I played right now before turning the console off. Also conveniently, one of the "misogynistic" news pieces came on right after!

On the subject of misogyny, it's pretty difficult to be unable to identify it as satire. It's a piece on a 25-year-old girl marrying an 80-year-old wealthy man. During the interview, she outright says things like "I'm not very smart" and "All women are just looking for a rich man to exploit." Perhaps Petit didn't notice that the Weazel News tagline was played at the very end of the piece: "Confirming your prejudices!"

she also clearly wasn't paying attention; I'm willing to bet that she was so busy looking for something to criticize that she failed to notice the dialogue. Trevor, when talking about how torture doesn't work, admits that it's mainly for the benefit of the torturer or his boss; he did all of the torture purely because he enjoyed it. But the kicker is that the guy was willing to talk all along. He was an innocent man who would have gladly spilled every single bean he had and cooperated completely with the authorities, but the FIB and IAA (FBI and CIA in the GTA HD universe) are loaded with sociopaths who insist on torturing him anyway to "confirm information" or just because they enjoy it, and then murder the victim afterward. Trevor actually takes pity on him and sneaks him out to the airport to escape. There was commentary on the poor efficacy of torture, yes, but the main gist of it is that they picked up an innocent electrician who would have been completely cooperative, declared him an Azerbaijani spy, and began mutilating him for over a month instead of actually asking him questions that he could answer.

I care so little for GTA it isnt funny.

But i did enjoy GTA IV. I also enjoyed Chinatown Wars (in fact it was better than GTA IV IMO). Shame it tanked, cept on the iPhone.

IMO The Lost and Damned's story was better than the main games, and The Ballad of Gay Tony was way more fun than the main game.

More Skyrim fun:

Flaming Familiar is a fun and easy way to perform kills for the Dark Brotherhood.  Simply stand next to your target (that isn't hostile toward you), cast FF (or in my case, double FF), and stand back as they howl and explode.  It may take a few tries, but when they do kill your target, you don't get in trouble for it.  In fact, I performed one kill directly in front of a guard, and he simply walked over to the body and asked, "Who did this?"

The only problem is repeated use of FF at close range does hurt you, and even Wards don't seem to protect you (unless I'm using them wrong).
