So, there's this game called Sturmwind coming out in a couple of days...

...For the Sega Dreamcast. No, seriously.

Apparently, the Dreamcast is easy to develop for or something.

That... Makes no sense whatsoever. Even if the game could turn a profit on the Dreamcast, it'd almost certainly make so much more on PC. Just whack it onto Steam and it'll sell so much better, and without having to worry about manufacturing physical copies.

It would need to go through Steam Greenlight, and shmups haven't made it through Greenlight so far. Possibly because the people who vote on it are idiots, considering a generic retro-styled platformer with the AVGN's face on it got through.

Everything has to go through Greenlight now? I thought that was just an indie thing.

It is an indie thing, and a "Never-Been-On-Steam-Before" thing.

I think.

Despite knowing about indoctrination I thought it was a good idea to put a human Reaper near my office. Now I am a sentient husk :(.

I'm still working on finding a workable emulator and figuring out how to operate it purely so I can play Shenmue.
Still can't think of a signature a year later.

Damn, I'd finally forgotten about that game... it was the only reason I ever considered a dreamcast.

The trick is that you also need to mount the ROMs on a virtual disk drive before any emulator will play them. Personally, I'd recommend Daemon Tools.

The answer to the question: a lot of shmup fans still have Sega Dreamcasts.

I've already got that. How else would I pirate games?
