Meh, I find most of their stuff barely-listenable.  It would be different if they weren't all so damn similar.

I'm not a huge fan of Nicklebacks music, but I don't hate them either. Idk why they are so hated that much really.

I think it's largely because the indie/non conformist/death to pop music crowds need one uber popular band to point to and go "This! This is why we're superior to you!". Nickleback is fairly popular in the mainstream and L already mentioned that their music is largely generic. For every one "Figured you out" (an ode to fucked up relationships everywhere that included the lines "I like the dirt that's on your knees. How you still say please while you're looking up at me. You're like my favorite damned disease") they had ten "Someday"s. To be fair the video for that song was pretty cool and you had to be paying attention to catch

Surprisingly that's not all they sing.  They've actually got a bit of variety in their songs.

There's the songs for getting naked.
There's the songs for domestic violence advocacy(yes they actually advocate against DV go figure)
There's the songs for drinking and partying
There's the songs for political activism.

So there's actually a broad spectrum of songs they sing.  It's just that Chad Kroger's voice is so god damn bland and generic they all sound the same.

Ironbite-hate that douche-bag so god damn much.

Can't say I've heard that one. *looks up* I like some oftheir newer stuff. My favorite is probably "If Today Was Your Last Day"

I think it's a bit of both, askold. More the second, but there are obviously people who genuinely don't like them.

Not a fan of Nickelback but I don't have anything against them.

As for Tebow, FSTDT introduced me to him; I don't follow football so I had no idea who he is. But man, watching him actually ask god for help in a friggin' football game makes me cringe.
