...does Golden Dawn have the Nazis fashion?

From the images I found, it looks like they lack the fashion sense.

...if they dress in gold clothes EVER, that's Fashion Victim Villain territory.

They look like a bunch of young, angry white guys who have been told many, many times how "awesome" fascism / nazism was by their parents / grandparents, who probably form the Party Leadership.

On a side note, I just remembered that they share a name with a certain video game.

Quote from: Wikipedia
The Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn (or, more commonly, the Golden Dawn) was a magical order active in Great Britain during the late 19th and early 20th centuries, which practiced theurgy and spiritual development. It has been one of the largest single influences on 20th-century Western occultism.

Which is why my first reaction to hearing the name in a political context will likely always be "wait, what". I'd be amused, if I wasn't so concerned.

Actually, there is one country I could see Golden Dawn wanting to target militarily: Turkey. They don't have a history of good relations and they're a transit point for illegal migrants attempting to cross into Europe. Also, the division of Cyprus has been a sticking point between the two countries for quite a while now.

It's worth remembering there's another country that is seen as a figure of hate for Greek nationalists, and that's the Republic of Macedonia. They hate the fact that a Slavic country has a Hellenic name; in fact, ever since independence from Yugoslavia Macedonian national identity has been so contentious the RoM has even had to change its national flag to ease tensions.

Is it wrong that my first thought was "Crowley is running for Greek office?"

Eh, fair enough. But then again, Germany spent time getting its act together first.

Germany was 95% of the way there, a technologically modern, industrialized state with a robust military history. They had one of the world's leading industrial bases and a 1936 population of 65 million, among the highest in Europe. Greece has 11 million people and... well... no, no, that's pretty much it.
Apparently, they have the best air force of Europe.
Because of the tensions with Turkey and the Cyprus question, they have continuously been modrernizing the Greek air force.
