This looks neat! I wonder if we could put it into more common use.

Wow. I'm completely floored by how successful the treatment was. Science is fucking awesome.

It'll be interesting to see how well it works on third degree burns.

Why Are We Not Funding this?!
Who says we're not? Looking up the topic a little bit (without necessarily watching the video) it looks like it's being worked on by Dr. Jörg Gerlach of the University of Pittsburgh’s McGowan Institute for Regenerative Medicine [1] (http://www.dakotavoice.com/2011/02/skin-gun-uses-adult-stem-cells) and I can find publications from them [2] (http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2895759/) [3] (http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2819805/) which were funded in part by the National Institutes of Health. So, the reason we're not funding this is because we're funding this.

When I saw the title of the thread I thought that we had invented a way to implant projectile weapons under someone's skin.

Either way this awesome itself and probably will be better for burn victims in the future.
