I've never understood why people seemingly believe in the permanency of the Internet; the old MySpace was a major website just seven years ago, and now it's completely dead. Finding whatever you tweeted today in 2063 will be like trying to find a casual memo written by a civil servant in 1953 today.

Anyway, what I'm rolling around to is that I just looked at New Myspace, and it seemed to be to old MySpace what New Labour was to Labour. Which is a terrifying thought, especially considering that old MySpace was already owned by Rupert Murdoch.

I think the real point is that the pictures are taken in the first place, and there are people who are gonna hang onto them for as long as they can. As for the impact it'll have 50 years from now, kids will be saying the same thing kids today say when they see their great grandparents doing the Charleston while dressed as flappers, or their grandparents hanging out at a malt shop. "Why can't I be that classy? What's wrong with people today? People back then were so classy."

On an unrelated note, it seems Gary Busey lives here in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Didn't know that before.

I'm familiar with both saguaro and cholla.

I would much rather jump at the saguaro.  Aussie dude still wins Most Regrets.

Of course, yeah, the saguaro guy also risked getting in trouble with the law.  But I guarantee it didn't hurt nearly as bad.
