I don't know the context and I don't know what it says and in fact I don't want to. The reality could never be better than what it looks like:

The narration says something to the effect of "Later that evening, Batman and Robin leave after putting on the clothes of two transvestites." So, y'know, exactly what it looks like.

Robin's speech bubble is something like "I haven't had this much fun since I was at school", which is somewhat less expected.

If the art wasn't clearly older, I'd assume that the Robin line was a Fight Club reference. Also, the masks kinda defeat the purpose of drag.

For me, the way I tell is if it's Japanese, there's usually hiragana and/or katakana mixed in with the kanji.  If it's just kanji, it's usually Chinese.
