Unfortunately I don't like the quote myself, namely because it tends to be...

Well I guess the phrase is "slut-shaming".  "Promiscuity is bad!  It leads to disease!"  Well, not exactly.  Unprotected sex, even monogamous sex, can lead to disease.  Some people are born with STDs because their mother had one.  Others can get them from methods other than sex.

On the other hand, being responsible when having sex, even promiscuous sex, can prevent several STDs -- including pregnancy.

I dig what you are getting at. If I remember Kinision correctly, his comedy routines went for the jugular with pure shock value, and that he in no way had any extra-judgmental beliefs as you describe. He probably was as hedonistic as any Hollywood performer, if not more so. But of course that is not to say that there aren't any people out there that take such comedic statements and convert it into something that fits their belief system.

There was a Sliders show on Netflix last night, and in a parallel world there was no such word as "marriage." Instead, it was called a "merger," as in corporate/business merger, which come to think of it, makes more sense if and when we deal in absolutes. Heh
