Well... That's the thing.  Silent Hill has multiple layers depending upon the person that enters it.  I guess if you don't have a lot of 'issues', it'd be really nice as it's been described by characters that don't see the OMFGMONSTERSnSHIT.

As far as which world I'd pick... I'm really tempted to choose Doctor Who, but I'm very familiar with Zelda and it always seemed quite appealing to me.
