LONDON  At a time of growing tension over its nuclear program and mounting belligerence toward the West, Iran reported on Wednesday that an Iranian nuclear scientist died in what was termed a “terrorist bomb blast†in northern Tehran when an unidentified motorcyclist attached a magnetic explosive device to his car. It was the fourth such killing reported in two years and, as after the previous attacks, Iranian officials indicated that they believed the United States and Israel were responsible. News photographs from the scene in northern Tehran showed a car draped in a pale blue tarp being lifted onto a truck. A driver who acted as a bodyguard was also killed, news reports said. The scientist was identified as Mostafa Ahmadi Roshan, 32, a professor at Tehran’s technical university, and a department supervisor at the Natanz uranium enrichment facility  one of two known sites where Western leaders suspect Iranian scientists are advancing toward the creation of a nuclear weapon.

My money's on Israel... yeesh.
-
My money's on the United Kingdom.
Ironbite-or the CIA.
-
or the CIA.
Couldn't be, this worked.
Unless it turns out it was done by strapping explosives to a remote control car or something.
-
Secretary of State Clinton has already denied US involvement in it, so it probably wasn't the CIA. Besides, dudes on motorcycle drove up and planted the bomb. That's not really modern CIA style, which seems to be blowing people up with UAVs.

My money's on the United Kingdom.
Impossible, no politely worded letter of apology and complimentary tin of Earl Grey was sent to the widow.
-
Agree w/ priestling, the Mossad is the most likely suspect, for this and for the whole series. Murder/Assassination has been in their toolbox since the beginning.
-
Smells like MOSSAD
-
Yeah, I also say MOSSAD. Too "messy" to be CIA or UK style.

Surprised they went there, not at all.
-
aaaaaand the shit hits the fan.....
-
In the past, Israel has destroyed all of Iran's attempts to built nuclear plants. I wouldn't be surprised if this was the work of Mossad.
Just let the kids have their fucking nuke already
-
Moussad would've done it better.
-
Reptilian Freemason Jesuit Warlocks did it

Who? ???
Only the most kick ass, sexiest, murderous former Mossad now NCIS Special Agent woman that's who!
Ironbite-WATCH...NCIS...from season 3 on cause Seasons 1 and 2 have Kate and while I'm a fan, not that much of one.

I cant help but feel that this attack is just far too messy and public to be any foreign countries actions.
Then again, I really don't know.
I just fail to see how killing one scientist will in any way significantly affect Iran's nuclear program. Its not like they are doing cutting edge research, the facilities and methods are all known and documented so a replacement can easily be trained.
Honestly, the Iran situation is really strange.
-
Maybe not directly, but terrorism can get other people to make decisions they wouldn't otherwise have done. Look at the US. We started a war, increased Airport security, and had the NDAA passed.

I forget, but didn't Mossad almost screw her over. Or was that her dad?
-
Her dad was director of the Mossad and thus it was both mossad and her dad that screwed her over.

Impossible, no politely worded letter of apology and complimentary tin of Earl Grey was sent to the widow.
And the perpetrator wasn't an elderly, fat librarian-type wearing a mackintosh angsting over his cheating wife and the general amorality of espionage.
All MI6 agents are George Smiley.

The people murdered weren't exactly lab assistants. You can't quickly train a replacement professor. And this isn't the first time either. So yes, it is significantly hurting the programme.

When I come to power I'm renaming MI6 as The Department of Ungentlemanly Warfare.

Plus the main purpose in these kinds of attacks is to use fear in order to send a message, hence "terrorism".
