The modest man, who had people on Earth entranced and awed from almost a quarter-million miles away, died Saturday. He was 82.

A war hero, an aviation and aerospace pioneer, and an all-around good guy.  America has lost one of her greatest.   :'(

...Last I checked, the last time a bad person died was Kim Jong Il. Or maybe Bin Laden. Whichever came second.


Regardless, we need a change of pace, how about we kill off, say, Ronald E. Williams or Michael Pearl?

I remember watching you on TV as you stepped off the lander onto the moon and how enthralled I was at this advancement in mankind's progress and exploration.  Thank you for your bravery, your leadership, your savvy, and your quite dignity.  The world has lost a remarkable man.
