Romney said he supports states' rights to make decisions on domestic partnership benefits, including hospital visitation. Obama, while saying he personally supports same-sex marriage, also said the issue should be left to the states to decide.

Given how Romney will flip flop on any issue provided it is the desire of the corporations that own him, I cant wait for the day he is for gay marriage. Lets face it. Mitt Romney has no personality and no actual personal stance on anything. He is just saying this to be the opposite of Obama.

From what I saw on the news, that was a legit headline that actually did go up on their website but which they edited almost immediately after Shepard Smith went and praised Obama for his position.

Here's the source, but I doubt your mother would accept it, being from MSNBC and Lawrence O'Donnell, though.

Note that he didn't say "gay marriage". He said "same-sex marriage". In case you haven't noticed, there are no legal restrictions for bisexuals to marry opposite-gender, nor are there (surprisingly enough) that many legal complications for a transgender person to marry someone of the opposite sex to which they identify. I'm not going to pretend that bisexuals and transgender people don't have legal problems - they do in many ways. But the only marriage that is illegal is if they are same-sex.
