Yeah, don't skip season 1. There's plenty of good stuff there.

Season 1 has some pretty good episodes that factor in getting to know the different ponies personalities. Personally, my favorite episode from that season has to be "Party Of One" or as I like to call it "Pinkie Pie goes off the deep end".

...Who told you that bronies were disappointed with season 1?

Season 1 was what made bronies fall in love with it in the first place O_o

Unless you mean series 1.

When it comes to the series, G3, and G3.5 are the worst...
Rainbow Dash always dresses in style....and I was a fan of G1 back in the day, but to be fair I was a toddler at the time so, even though Tirek was a badass villain.

I used to watch G1 when I was a kid.  It was only occasionally, but I didn't hate it.

...Well until the commercials started getting spammy, then I started hating it.

Already seen the two-parter Season 2 premiere last night. You know, the one where we meet Discord.

I honestly tried to like the show, but the biggest motivation for me to watch an episode or two was John de Lancie's role as Discord (I like Star Trek any anything that has to do with it, shut up) and the (once upon a time) involvement of Lauren Faust, who did the film The Iron Giant, later episodes of The Powerpuff Girls and Foster's Home For Imaginary Friends, and I loved those shows (and that one film, despite seeing it only once) growing up.

(Don't ask me about the latter show. I know a lot of people hated it, but I thought it was one of the only two programs on Cartoon Network in that era that was worth a damn, along with Camp Laszlo, mostly for the involvement of Joe Murray, who did one of my all-time favorite shows Rocko's Modern Life.)

All in all, I'm saying this show isn't that big a deal (it's better than most of today's animated television) and there is no reason why it had to also spawn a horrible fanbase.

That's actually not one of my favorite episodes. Aside from Discord himself, I thought it was a little weak. (That's just like, my opinion, man). I like the season 1 premier 2-parter better, and the season 2 finale 2-parter is one of my favorites.

Actually, despite how widely hated it is, I LOVE the season 3 finale.  It's the only episode barring the Season 2 finale that I still watch over and over again.  And I've watched it more than the Season 2 finale.

I think the people who are bent out of shape about Princess Twilight need to get over it big time.

Then again I also liked the episode where Fluttershy has to try to reform Discord.

Yup, couldn't possibly be that we genuinely enjoyed the episode and story arc. *eyeroll*

@Alehksu, While I am starting to get really annoyed with this fandom too, i'm not  sure what makes this fandom any worse then, for example, whovians and supernatural fans

Still looking forward to S4 in December, here.  Also, yeah, I liked the S3 finale too.  Reminds me, need to get back to going through all the episodes with my brother.

If I was going to guess, I think the fanboys were pissed because there was something that would alter the status-quo and because Twilight Sparkle isn't the same anymore, it would eventually make the show less interesting and lead it to eventual cancellation.

But I like shows that evolve. Fuck shows that play by the Status Quo is God card. Besides, it would be nice if the show eventually ends after a few seasons because I sure know the only thing worse than complaining about continuity evolution is complaining that the show is suffering in quality because they wanted to to last forever (those people should know writers usually run out of ideas as a television program progresses).
